Nathan stood in the center of the crowd moving his body slightly to music then clapping his hands as the indie song came to an end and letting an enthusiastic ‘woo’ leave his lips. He hadn’t gone out in a couple weeks, since he’d been fostering his sister, and this was the first outing he’d been to alone–Lyla was with a trusted babysitter. So he allowed himself to have a few drinks, nothing too crazy. Easing past a sea of bodies, he found a seat at the bar and ordered a whiskey on the rocks, as usual. It wasn’t long before the attractive blonde sitting next to him spoke and he turned his head to take in the sight of her, noticing her strong southern accent. He answered her with his still strong English accent. “Yeah, it’s one of the better indie stuff I’ve heard in the while, and there’s a lot of good stuff out there,” he mused, flashing her a small smirk. “A good bit, yeah. It’s a great place to come to if you’re looking for that. Are you on vacation?”
For some reason, Demelza never expected the gent sat beside her to answer with such a strong British accent. Her brows rose at the sound, a small smile lingering against he lips. “Wow, that’s some accent you have. Is that British?” She asked, completely dismissing their talk of the band for a second. “I just didn’t expect that to come out of your mouth.” Demelza giggled, before reaching for her glass if cider. The fruity colour smelt strong of strawberries as he lifted the glass to her lips, washing back a few sips. “No.. Well, yes and no.. I’m currently on my travels and found myself here about a week ago. My vans parked up by the lakes here.. It’s so beautiful. I’m guessing you reside her permanently?” She asked, curious.
