Harry is trying to settle back into his relationship with Cho after his complete amnesia of the last 5 years. He can't help but feel uneasy. There is the dreaded matcha tea that is just forebodingly bad, there are the deleted texts from a deleted number from over 3 years ago. Harry feels restless and he needs answers and surely the person who has been deleted would be the one person Cho was not close with and would perhaps tell him the truth.
Chapter 16: Come into my arms
âYes, could me and my hâHarry crash at your place for a few days? Weâre in a bit of a pickle.â She frowned. âYes, Harry Potter! What other Harry do you know? Prince Harry. Yeah no. Not that one. That makes for too much ginger. Can we come?â
Harry looked at the other people in the station, but no one was paying attention to them.
âWe canât apparate. Theyâre tracking usâmaybe.â Ginny winced. âYouâre not too far off with that guess actually. Weâll take the train.â She looked at Harry. âYes, if you could pick us up in Glasgow, thatâs great. You can text us but only if absolutely necessary. Otherwise weâll see you in about two to three hours.â Ginny nodded. âYes. Thank you, youâre the best.â

Now Harry was 10? Maybe 14 drinks firewhiskey shots in, and he was dying. Any moment now, Albus Dumbledore would take him to Kings Cross Station and take him to the afterlife because Harry James Potter was piss drunk.
He was not the only one plastered. Ron was wearing his shirt has a hat and Hermione was walking around and telling any person who would listen that she could list the Runes Alphabet backwards in less than thirty seconds.
But for Harry, all he could focus on was the ceiling, and how it kept spinning. He couldn't focus on anything, but could feel someone hovering near him who smelt like a familiar flowery scent. But beyond that he knew only three things.
He was married.
He loved his wife.
The first law of Gamp's Transfiguration Law prevented anyone from conjuring food out of thin air.
But he also knew that this random woman was trying to get him to come home with her.
"Harry, I think it's time we go home," she said, placing a hand on his shoulder. Harry caught another wiff of floral, and almost collapsed. He could not move his eyes from his left hand, where a gold band rested on his 4th finger, for fear of any sudden movement might cause him to vomit all over the floor.

Harry looked up and stared at the person who had been coaxing him to bed this entire time.

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE - Tuesday 12th September Part 2
The chase is on!
I wanted to include a snippet. Like, I really, really did. I've included a snippet on every single new chapter post so far and I hate the inconsistency of not having one here, but it's all just way too spoilery, so I'm afraid you'll need to read it on AO3 - and I really, really hope that you will, because I am super proud of it!

Why the fuck not? Don't expect another chapter so soon, unless you bombard me with really nice reviews and I don't sleep tonight because I'm pulling an all-nighter writing.

How do you think the big kiss wouldâve happened if Harry wouldâve been able to play still? Do you think the game/kiss happened the way it did bc of Ginnyâs awesome skills and wouldâve turned out differently?
That is a difficult one to decide on, I feel like there are different outcomes on the kiss but let me think about it
If I remember correctly, Harry being out of it means that Dean got to come back onto the team. This Dean has something to prove. He got on the team when Katie Bell was out and then got yeeted again when she came back. I have to hand it to Dean for showing up because his ex is on the team like... he could have bailed but no, he showed up.
Ginny also had something to prove in a different way. She really cares about Quidditch obviously so she wants to do well for her own sake. She also wants to do well for Harry, and I don't mean that she wants to impress him (which is possible, but not the point). She knows how important he finds Quidditch and how much he blames himself if they'd lose because he's in detention
Cho is also Seeker for Ravenclaw which is just an added bonus but I don't think Ginny truly sees Cho as a rival much at this point when it comes to Harry. that relationship deflated like a sad balloon, no one wonders if he's dwelling on it
Ginny is an excellent Chaser and probably the best on the team as an overall player (case in point, she goes professional later) and I think Chaser is probably the most versatile position to play within Quidditch. Most Seekers are also smaller and lighter because with Seekers speed means a lot and that puts Ginny at an advantage because she's considered petite at this point so she has a physical advantage there but she also hasn't really had much time to practice being a Seeker
I think Harry loses a bit of advantage as he gets taller and heavier throughout the years. He's just an exceptionally good Seeker and what he lacked in experience in his first year he makes up for it by being pretty small and scrawny. He grows decently tall by sixth year but he has way more experience
I know that's not immediately what you asked BUT I promise it's relevant because we want to know if they would have won against Ravenclaw if Harry had been playing. Dean wouldn't have been playing Chaser, Ginny would have been. She's obviously a better player than Dean (I love Dean but Ginny's just obviously better) so even without personal stakes being so high, I think with Harry as Seeker and Ginny being a Chaser, they would have probably won too
Soooo the question is, would the celebration of the win got them a kiss? Harry is deeply in his feelings at that point and the kiss is spontaneous. There is just this moment as she runs up to him and that does it
so I think it wouldn't be like a Quidditch pitch kiss (and that is my personal opinion) but either on the way to the changing rooms or in the celebration after is very likely. Just know no matter, Ron was there to see it and be gobsmacked.

After all the lies, all the deceit, all the mental turmoil that the past two weeks, it seemed like such a stupid thing to fixate on, but the second that she took off her cap, it was all he could think about. The fact was that no matter how beautiful heâd considered her before, she looked utterly incandescent now that sheâd revealed her vivid copper pixie-cut.Â
For several long momentsâor it might have been half an hour, or possibly several sunlit daysâhe just stood there and stared at her, not quite believing what he was seeing. Was Ginny Weasley really standing on his doorstep, looking like something out of a wet dream, asking to talk?Â
Eventually he was forced to concede that yes, she was. But that didnât mean he wasnât still furious with her.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â he demanded. Then his brows furrowed further still as something else occurred to him. âAnd how did you even know where I live?â
âIâm an ace investigative journalist, remember,â she pointed out. Then she shrugged and a hint of mischief warmed her eyes. âAlso, my brother used to live here.â

Harry rocked back on his heels, stunned. Could AC Gaunt really be Tom Riddle?Â
The more he thought about it, the more it made senseâGauntâs looming presence over the investigation, inserting himself at unexpected moments, his cold arrogance and his willingness to ride roughshod over evidentiary process. Hell, he even had ties to Hampshire, didnât he? So much of it fitted perfectly.Â
Clearly, Harry and Gaunt needed to have a little chatâbut that posed a myriad of new problems.Â
Challenging a superior officer, let alone one as senior as an AC, was an extremely risky thing to do. One false move could be career ending, but if Gaunt really was Riddle, Harry knew that he had no choice, and that he needed to act quickly, before Gaunt could cover his tracks.Â
Slowly, Harry got to his feet, leaning back against his desk and gazing out of the internal window into the incident room, where Folorunsho, Malik and the new recruits were all seated at desks, focused on their work.
The stakes had never been higher, and Harry realised that he couldnât expose any of his team to the risk. No, he was taking this one aloneâand he was taking precautions. So before leaving his office, he photographed the warrant, and returned the paper copy not to the packet in the Emily Vance files, but to the box labelled Amy Bonesâjust in case. Satisfied, he shrugged on his jacket.
âAde?â he called, as made his way through the incident room.
âYes boss?â replied the DS
âI have to head over to Scotland Yard for a meeting. Iâm not sure how long Iâll be. Call me if you need anything.â
