Nope, no off translation here, he wasn’t working for the United Nations at all. Many different terms indeed, it did well to pay attention. Imagine the conversation one could have about the similarities between ‘Earth’ like worlds and the cultures, how there was indeed many forms of 'Japan’ in different worlds.. and so the language seemed adaptable in settings like this, almost word for word. Such phenomena was definitely part of the research, though in this case it was something else that piqued his work.

“Mmm, I think I’m the one going down the rabbit hole actually. See, this universe is different from what we’ve seen before, being tied with your Digital World and all, seeing creatures materialise from that form to here, as well as the idea of people like us travelling there. It’s actually quite a case study if I’ll be honest! That’s.. why they sent me here, to research both this world and the Digital World.”

He was indeed sent here to study the fauna of the Digital World--or at least the connection between the Digital World and this Human World. Takuya had told Junpei of a multi-verse, given that the Digital World spanned over many different Human Worlds, and that each Human World had their own Digital World connected to it. Whether it was man made or appeared from a program that was unintentional. 

He picked that up pretty easily, since he somewhat ascertained that, for the moment, they were working together. Clearly he would catch up with her, nodding again as she spoke.

“Sounds like having the big kids protect the littlies while they cause all sorts of chaos.”

A common strategy from his thoughts, reminding him of things he used to see back home.

“Huh.. I suppose they have their reasons for keeping to themselves.” Though at her next question, eyes widened for only a tad, but he would respond with a nod.

“Since you told me about you, you deserve to know about me. I work for the United Government’s Ministry of Science. I’m what they call a Field Operator, tasked with investigating universes in several aspects, including that which is considered ‘unique’ in contrast to others.”

A pause, as he scratched his cheek.

“Or in the very simplest term, I come from another dimension.”

Junpei couldn’t help but wonder about the jumble of words he spoke. United Government? She knew of the United Nations, perhaps the translation was off. Ministry of Science, well that would be another term. He was a Field Operator, oh wow--so he was out here investigating. Yeah--another dimension? How did he speak her language? Perhaps they also had another Japan, or simpler, he had a communications device. After all, he could jumped from one dimension to the next. 

Looks like the danger had been taken care of, for the moment anyway, which meant the blonde would witness Blitzmon turn back into the beautiful female seen earlier.

“So they work together? A bit like having protectors around to keep them safe? Maybe there’s something else going on.”

Huh, seeing her introduce herself brought this strange feeling to him, but he can’t seem to place why. It was so very strange, but at the same time not all that important, shaking it off just as she looked back up, a smile coming to him.

“I’m Chuuno Bowen. I’ve never actually seen a human become a Digital Monster before. Can’t help but feel intrigued to be honest.”

Though at her comment about finding out more, depending on how much she liked him, clearly brought a widened expression, well, widened eyes, and cheeks darkening. In that moment he found himself looking away, scratching his cheek, awkwardly. Did she really need to put in in such a way?

Remaining somewhat distant from the other, June would simply start walking in a direction away from him. It wasn’t to lose him, but to pressure him into walking her way had he decided to come along. And, with him doing so, she’s speak up again.

選ばれた “ Well, the Bakemon are adult formed digital monsters, they rely on                     others when it comes to help. Having a Phantomon they tend to                     get more bold. ” 子 ー 雷

She’d turn momentarily towards him, stopping in place and thought for a second.

Bowen was keeping his offense ranged, not wanting to expose himself as anything other than human just yet. This did mean having to let Blitzmon take the physical work, but he knew she was capable, more than capable. Still, his blasts would make work of what else might come at them, though he did see concern with the flying sparks, how the scythe was cutting into her, through the armour.

Though her attack, the Lightning Bomber, electricity from her horn impacting the other. It was all so still interesting, even with the Digital Device and everything, how the scythe would disintegrate into data. This battle was won, but it might well be the beginning, from her words.

“Yep, know it all too well, I only hope the source is nearby, just so we can make short work of them!”

Blitzmon would look around, though without the appearance of another digital monster around; it was safe for her to de-digivolve. At least, for the time being.

選ばれた “ Bakemon normally don’t fight without a Phantomon to lead them                  into battle. They’re lucky we didn’t get to them.                           --I don’t believe I introduced myself, I am sorry. ” 子 ー 雷

June would give a small bow as she apologized, it was informal for the Japanese female not to introduce herself, although given the circumstances, her ancestors may just forgive her. Her hands would place themselves over her thighs as she bowed a bit further before looking up. 

This was intense! The creature that pretty girl had become.. and the element she held within, electricity! Oh, this was so amazingly fascinating! The way she launched herself at the Phantomon, how one of them was pushed back so easily by her strength and power.

It was invigorating, watching her punch down the Bakemon and shove around the Phantomon. Granted, he could see that Blitzmon didn’t seem able to take down the Phantomon alone.. and so he would come in, a grin on his face as his IDND came out again..

He didn’t let his eyes glow, he decided to keep that to himself, see how much power he needed first as he dashed forward at the Phantomon, his IDND being used almost like a point-blank taser, energy used as a weapon to try and take the upper hand and finish them off!

Blitzmon would try to keep most of the physical fighting on herself, knowing that in her armored state, she could take a few hits here and there--even as Phantomon sliced away at her with his scythe. Sparks would fly as the metals would click against each other, though scratches would start to cut deeper as the metals wore down a little more with each cut. Her gauntlet digits would reach over to grab the blade, though it would cut into her palm she’d grab the stave with her other hand to hold on tight. Her horn would begin to light up--eyes gazing at the other.

The lightning from her beetle horn would strike the other, causing a bar code to appear around them. With her digital device, she’d scan it really quickly, absorbing the information and making her stronger. She’d drop the scythe before it shattered into data, turning to the other she’d quickly run to. 

The immediate priority was to eliminate or reduce the danger that was before them. He would have come to her aid, had she not ended up back on her feet.. and with a Digital Device in her hand.. oh wow, he didn’t know she had one of those. Did that mean… she was a Chosen Child?

Taking a few steps to the side, just to keep clear, he would keep his eyes both on the threats.. and her, observing how she exclaimed, how she was engulfed in code, consumed by an egg-shaped figure… if only for a few seconds… before the sight changed entirely. Taller, blue armour.. winged plating.. and that horn.

He didn’t expect this, but now the tides had well turned.. those Digital Monsters didn’t stand a chance!

Closed hands would bare down on each other, armored knuckles punching into each other as visible electricity would appear. Tearing her hands apart, a string of electricity would keep them connected, only to be broken apart as she tore her hands further apart. With her hands covered in the electric element, she’d launch herself at one of the Phantomon, her knuckles pushing deep against the other as it was pushed back by the sheer strength and power behind her form.

“E..Ehhh?!”

An abrupt comment like that, along with a wink, was enough to throw out his grin in an awkward surprise.. though such only lasted a few seconds, before he was grabbed, by her, their movements coming to a halt. Well, so much for harmless pranks, not with those Phantomon in cahoots with the Bakemon.

Those scythes were dangerous.. and now this was becoming a serious situation. Pushed back, he managed to keep his footing, though at the same time having to watch as June was struck, knocked to the ground. In an instant, he whipped out his IDND, the very thing needed to change the game, a quick, swift aim, before…

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Five blasts of energy, in quick succession.. but not aimed at the Digital Monsters themselves.. no, at their weapons, the scythes, to knock them out of their grasp! The belief he had, disarm them.. and they shouldn’t, hopefully, pose a threat anymore, for the time being!

Teeth would grit as she felt her elbows scrape against the concrete below, a mind numbing to the sensation of her blood boiling. Despite growing into the mature body, her mindset; she was still just as hot headed towards those who pushed her aside. Her hands would push against the ground, despite the minor scrapes upon them; getting to her feet--ignoring the other in his triumph over the Phantomon. From the depth of her pockets, she’d whip out the familiar digital device she always adorned herself with. With one hand, she’s raise her palm flat towards the monsters; a single ring of glowing endless barcode would appear.

With the digital device, she’d apply the reader to the code. The reader would case a splash effect against the code, and as she spoke energy would radiate from the digital device; ripping the reader away the code moved around her.

選ばれた “ Spirit--EVOLUTION ! ” 子 ー 雷

In an instant, the code would erupt around her frame and create a giant egg shaped vessel around her; what felt like mere seconds later would erupt a figure nearly a foot taller, adorning blue armor, tipped with gold; giant wing like plating behind her, and a giant horn.

A short girl in a way to big hoodie would watch June for a bit. She was reminded so much of her friend, her teammate. Maybe this girl knew where her friend was? If anything though, she did want to know what had this girl acting so excited. She would walk over, her dark hair covering half of her face. Walking a bit behind her was her partner, a small creature with dark skin, a pointed tail, and wearing red gloves and a red scarf.

“Um… e-excuse me? C-can I ask… what you seem to be excited about?”

The sudden appearance of a female tinier than her creeping up on June would cause her to jump a little. With the appearance of the digital monster behind her, she could only question what this all meant. She had almost forgotten what she was excited about--the question simply rose to her lips.

The question was, could Thunder Thighs outrun a trained athlete? Especially one who could outrun quite a few other things. Granted even he had to admit she was quite an attractive woman, especially from her face, her hair. But that was outside of what was happening. Still, he managed to catch up to her, without much trouble on his end.

Her comment, was kind of to be expected. She didn’t know who he was, what he did, it made sense to advise someone that something dangerous was ahead.. but he wasn’t any ol’ civilian.. and her comment only ended up with giving him a grin on his face.

“Am I, though? You’d be surprised as to what I can handle, I assure you!”

選ばれた “ Oh--I’m sure you’re a ladies man, aren’t you ? ” 子 ー 雷

She’d give him a wink; but before she could let out more flirtatious remarks, she found herself dead stopping, a hand reaching out to grab the blond to stop him as well. The Bakemon had a few friends, this time--that had scythes. The Phantomon that had creeped onto the scene, a simple scythe motion would cause June to push the male back almost out of instinct--like she had done this all before. Though she would take a step back with the other male, she would find herself being struck by the back of the hilt--knocking herself down to the ground. 

It wasn’t necessary indeed, but it was still a good gesture in a situation like this. If he thought it were a real gun, however, the response would have certainly been different. His outfit was quite different, plain, navy blue mostly, some sort of official maybe? It was easy to tell he was more so a Westerner, clearly out of place in these surroundings.

He was about to smile, but she was already considering leaving.. and even though she waved, he didn’t feel done talking to her.

“Hey! Wait up!”

Feet would pick him up to chase after her, particularly more so because of ‘strength in numbers’. There were downsides, it might be easier to get caught.. or maybe it means another pair of eyes to find good hiding spots.. and stay out of trouble!

Thankfully, all the years of cardio had given June what she loved to call: Thunder Thighs. They were thick in muscle, her endurance and stamina had increased--she was far more proud of her body now than when she was in her childhood days. The other chasing towards her made her almost worry--if she needed to digivolve, would he get in the way?

Murmuring to herself; she’d keep up her pace, even as the blond would come up towards her. 

He thought it was water. All this time he thought it was water that would drench his jumper, his pants, soak him to the very core as he hit the ground, sopping wet from the front, or so it felt. The sounds of footsteps scattering made him wonder if that was enough for the Bakemon to flee. In that pause, the odour would come to his nostrils. This.. this wasn’t water, this was something else. This smelt like… soda? Oooohhh no. This wasn’t a nice smell… and the stain it’s going to leave on his clothes! He’s going to have to wash all of this off and oh MAN! What a case of bad luck.

A groan escaped from his mouth at the inconvenience he just put himself into, but soon he would look over, up to see the person he had saved, the female with her arm out. Eyes widened for a moment, taking in her features. She was… beautiful! Definitely so… he couldn’t help but blush a bit as he reached out to take her hand in his, just to help himself up.

“Ah… sorry… I just.. I didn’t want anything happening. I’m.. I’ll be okay.”

He managed a small smile once he was on his feet.

“As long as you’re alright.. that’s the main thing. I’m.. I’m Bowen, by the way.”

The male was certainly kind enough to jump in front of her--but still not necessary. Perhaps he thought it was a real gun. His getup--his whole outfit was certainly... He looked like a detective of some sort. Then again, many males around the country wore such outfits. He didn’t look Japanese, so it was almost out of the ordinary. She didn’t judge though for sure. When his hand left her own after being picked up, she’d place her hands behind her back.

This… was a strange occurrence. Must be this time of the year with all the spooky stuff going on. Pumpkinmon, Bakemon, Gotsumon, all these monsters really turned this into a literal Halloween, complete with the practical mayhem that would often come with this event. Bowen was hust trying to get home and avoid the commotion that had fallen upon this night. Geez, they were really going at it, weren’t they? Even setting trees on fire, with toilet paper? Crafty beasts, aren’t they?

He just happened to walk right in on the sight of a girl calling out to a few of the Bakemon.. who had what looked like some form of Super Soakers, ready to drench this poor individual. It was almost like a firing squad even and he was having none of it! He was already bolting towards the scene, he had to get within shot, jump in front of the girl and face the drenching that was meant for her! Almost like as if he were bodyguard taking a shot… though this was a shot of liquid.

He would quickly find out such would not be water.

The female would watch as the Bakemon would raise their soakers, ready to drench the female with the sticky substance inside--the carbonation already had pushed the bounds of the plastic that contained it. A pumping action of the wrist would let the tips of the guns drip the liquid, but a pull of the trigger would release the darkened color substance into a stream on a one way course towards June. As they did such, June’s hand would reach forward, a small stream of visible bar code would wrap around her hand; a few inches off it’s surface. Her voice would echo as she spoke.

But before she could digivolve into the chosen form she was ready to take, the male would jump in front of him. Noble--but stupid, given the Digital Monsters only meant to make minor damage and mischief. Yet, her hand would dip as the barcode faded away. She’s look down at the male as the Bakemon would scatter as if caught by an authority figure. A hand would place itself upon her bare knee, another reaching out towards the male, a smile would be followed by a small chuckle.

Mischief would reign in the streets, Pumpkinmon had used this time to bring Bakemon and Gotsumon over to the Human World. Even if they were just causing small pranks and little misdemeanors, it was chaos trying to keep up with the halloween stylized Digital Monsters. Foot steps would be followed by eyes darting around, the night had barely fallen on the day, and yet it didn’t seem the day had ended for the Chosen Child. Pumpkinmon rushing by her with a roll of toilet paper--on fire. Throwing the roll over into a tree; it would soon catch fire, causing the tree to slowly erupt before June would try to intervene.
