What the hell is happening? He felt like heâd missed something, perhaps heâd zoned out of half of the conversation, all he grasped was one second they were making small talk about the greenhouses and the next Delta Lambright was holding his shoulder and stuttering her way through an apology for⌠that was just it, he really didnât understand what she had to apologise for. Honestly, heâd actually forgotten half of their last conversation, he remembered the crying part but he hadnât made her cry- as far as he was aware- and just assumed that she was an emotional person, a little like Jeremy, so he hadnât been upset by it or anything. âAhâŚâ He was a little unsure what to say, releasing a breath that half-carried a laugh, so bemused he had to take a moment before he could continue, âThereâs really no need for this.â
Now Delta was just confused. Just as confused as Tyler seemed, apparently. âYou mean.... youâre not mad at me?â Delta asked, voice cracking dangerously in a way that sounded like she might cry again, although she was far from it. Clearing her voice, trying not to frown so much, Delta explained, âOf course I need to apologize. Even if you donât think so. I yelled at you! For something you didnât even do! Thatâs never ok. Never.â
