HE SHOOK HIS HEAD NO. “I think I’ve had enough adventure in my life.” Even though he hadn’t had much, he never wanted much to start with. “Flying all the way out here to start a career is enough, I don’t need to put my life in any more peril or do anything more risky. Adventure is... it’s dangerous, and it doesn’t appeal much to me.”

          ‘I THINK I’D RATHER TRY MY LUCK with the needles--” Bungee jumping? At least with a tattoo, he may be humiliated for life, but he wouldn’t be dead! “The cord could snap, or, i could get tangled up in it and choke, or, something horrible could happen- I can’t take that risk. Thrill seeking isn’t really for me, I’m just in it for the pretty patterns.”

          OH GOD-- HE HOPED NOT, that would be the worst! She’d just implanted a brand new fear into his mind, and he’d already been dealing with so many already. “They wont? I mean, they won’t good. I’m glad they won’t because I’m really, really not sure about this.” He responds. “I am worried I’ll regret it, but for once in my life I’d rather have something beautiful instead of being a coward. I’m always a coward.”

          HE TURNS TO FACE HER. “Oh, but I’m-- really bad at choices you see, what if I decide to get one and then I regret it? What if the pain is too much and I give up halfway, and have a half-finished monstrosity on myself permanently because I’m too mentally scarred by the pain to attempt to get it completed? What if the artist makes a mistake?” His mind came up with a plethora of worries to ponder, and he was over dramatic as always. “Maybe I’d just better not-- oh, but they’re so pretty...”

          JUST EVEN PASSING BY the shop made him feel sort of sick... He was so squeamish when it came to needles. Yes, the results were beautiful, and he’d always wanted to get one of the intricate designs on his skin, but-- the process scared him far too much. He paced back and forth in front of the shop, trying to make up his mind and spark up some courage. “How do people even tolerate getting these things?”
