I really can’t sleep tonight and I have this unshakable desire to create. I want to paint, draw, write or even sing. At the same time I can’t even find the desire to do any of those things.
Not that I am feeling down but I think I am at the point in my life where I don’t know where to start. I am 25. It’s a weird age and fuck it. I work my ass of and am so careful and patient to be a good and proper adult. But what I want to do is light candles in my backyard at 1:06 in the morning and sing and dance on the top of my lungs. Not caring about my neighbors or making sure I don’t fuck up my sleep schedule. I want to be the girl that did things at night because she was most alive rhen. I want to paint my soul but I am having trouble seeing it. I want to sing until I cry because I feel the lyrics in my bones. I want to write my dreams because they are vivid beautiful and mine.
I am starting to wonder if I have lost me. Have I lost my self to my 9-5 and social standards. Have I lost myself to the relentless networking and careful conversation I have to have in order to appeal to my profession. I want to be my fearless and self loving self again.
