Hey Belinda. At the end of last year, I celebrated my 14th Tumblr anniversary. You ware one of the first ones I followed, back when it was still TGS. (Best name ever).
And you’re still here—that’s awesome. Of course, we don’t know each other, but somehow you’ve always been there, like a “home.” All your posts have always been great, and I love your sense of humor, especially when dealing with haters. Please keep it up. With coffee, of course.
You miss the things I miss, too. Where have all those classy people gone? That mix of decadence, style, melancholy, and desire. But I’m trying to bring it back. And, girl from Sweden, if anyone’s going to do it, it’s us. Who else :)
Thank you. ❤️
Fourteen years on Tumblr is practically a lifetime in internet years, so the fact that we’ve somehow been wandering around these digital hallways together for so long feels rather remarkable.
I smiled when you mentioned TGS. I still think it was the best name ever too.
And thank you for the kind words. It means more than you know when someone says they’ve felt at home among my little ponderings, coffee cups, fjords, bad jokes and occasional battles with haters.
The classy people may be harder to find these days, but perhaps they’re still here—just a little quieter, a little older, and drinking better coffee.
Thank you for staying. ❤️
