Well, what can I say...Levi and Hange's relationship has always been something which I found very endearing and special in the overall great story of SnK. Honestly, by this point, it's almost everything I hoped for: they're true partners, who support each other in their own ways, they pick up on each other's smallest concerns, they're protective of each other. The unconditional trust and respect between them is what I find the most significant aspect of their relationship. If we're talking about becoming canon in a straight-up romantic way, I doubt it will unfold like that. I'd be shocked if Isayama pulled anything of the sort, but again, you never know, that man is full of surprises :)

What really needs to happen, in my opinion, is a deep, heartfelt, solid conversation between them about their recent past and near future. And I'm not talking about romantic confessions here. Right now, Levi is in a critical state, both physically and mentally, he desperately needs someone like Hange to "free" him, so to say. From his heroism, from his revenge and give his life new meaning, show him what kind of possibilities are still available to him. If anyone in this series deserves peaceful closure, it's Levi. And Hange, ironically, needs kind of the same thing. Whether the two stay by each other side in the end, as romantic or platonic partners remains to be seen, but I hope they both survive, that goes without question ☺️
