no because fuck mainstream media and fuck the blissful ignorance so many people are choosing to live in. recognize that there are people who have been suffering for years. you don’t have to carry that burden but acknowledge them like you acknowledge any other nation. because when the US goes through something, the whole world is expected to care and if you don’t talk about it, you’re immediately a POS who is racist and sexist and a list of other awful things. a majority of the people saying those things wouldn’t be able to find my country on a map.
