Darkest Moments Come Alive

    she tried her hardest to ignore the attendant that was gesturing to the exits. despite her distaste for planes, she’s been on them her fair share of time. the only difference was she wasn’t usually alone and she was always able to take something to calm her nerves. “wanting to go home is odd?” he’s strange for thinking so. but then she thinks about what he said about his father and maybe his home is far different than hers. “spent some time in new york as well. before that, philadelphia.” the buckle seat belts sign came on and then the captain was coming over the speakers letting them know that they were making their way to the strip to take off. 

    she whines as she’s told about his plans to go to the beach, not because he was leaving - but she was envious. australia of all places. he was lucky that he had the chance to go wherever he wanted whenever. “you wanna stay here tonight? or did you already get a room?” gemma sighed, pinching the joint between her fingers and inhaling the smoke into her lungs. she coughs and muffles the sound against her shoulder. “mhm. i’m all ears.” 

            a slight tired hum passed her lips as she turned her head slightly. her eyes half open as she watched her. “tired, annoyed, pissed, slightly hurting, tired, tired, and did i mention tired?” she mumbled. the coffee she had hours ago was quickly wearing off. she’s made at least five cups since she’s been up at about five am to help prepare for the dance recital tomorrow.
