Deep River Art
@deepriverart-blog
Born into a family of self-taught artisans it seemed only natural for me to follow that path as well. Art is such a personal and reflective image of what is going on inside my heart and mind. I find the creative release part of the food that feeds my life experience and I could not live without it. When I am not painting I am working on photography or some other art form. I currently reside in the beautiful hills of Southern California where inspiration is abundant and there is a stillness in which the artistic soul can find something new. Most of my work comes about via my art studio in my home which I share with my husband and four children. I am proud to say that my work has been collected worldwide and I am grateful to the collectors and friends who have allowed me to share a piece of my life with them. The vision of my work is driven by a love and appreciation of all things beautiful. Many times the paint speaks to me and my work always tell me when I am done. It's important for me to express a mood in my art, I so want the viewer to be moved emotionally. I definitely believe certain art pieces just speak louder to the human race and it is what we needed to see and feel at that moment. When I am painting it is never a chore but a pleasure. Many times my husband has to pry me away from my work to eat a meal or go to sleep. To say time flies when I am working is an understatement. Many times I have painted through the night, I find this my most creative hour. I feel such pure gratitude that I have been able to experience this in my lifetime.
