I work from home in my designated home office more often now and Madam doesn't like that she can't have couch time whenever she wants so she's piloting desk time, when we both sit at my desk.

I also went hiking on the Appalachian Trail recently. It was perfect hiking weather and I did feel better about using a bait box for rodents in my basement because the state park also uses bait boxes, even though you'd think they could get some owl boxes instead. (I can't get an owl box but whenever I see a hawk in my neighborhood I yell at it that it should eat more mice.) (Well, I wouldn't have to use a bait box if the hawks and the owls were doing their part.)

It's been months and honestly the thing from the article that stuck with me is the part where she said she took her books to the library in a suitcase. A suitcase? Like a wheelie one? Like a cute, vintage, pretending to be Grace Kelly in Rear Window one? Why a suitcase? Does she not have a backpack or a messenger bag? Does she not know the word "backpack"? How many books are we talking about here? Did the library staff notice? They must have. The girl moving books between libraries in a suitcase.
Since moving to my neighborhood two years ago I have intervened on four occasions to keep about six children and one puppy out of the street.
