Throwback Thursday: Ateneo Art Gallery, Loyola Heights, Quezon City

This was a piece from Biowork by Buen Calubayan and was exhibited from February 24, 2015 to April 30, 2015.

During finals week, I had spare time before a paper consultation with a professor. It was the middle of finals week and I wanted to clear my head. While walking around campus, I decided to head to the Art Gallery.

The quick walk helped me to stay calm. This particular piece helped me to see something important about the human being. I didn’t observe much because I didn’t have much time left, but I think this was made from paper so it’s really fragile.

This helped me stay calm because it’s gracefully and mightily suspended from the ceiling. From where I was admiring it, it looked so peaceful just hanging there. Additionally, this taught me to be more patient because the intricate weaves look difficult to make. The artist obviously put his hundred percent effort unto this that’s why it’s very emotionally captivating.

Last April 25, 2015, my friend and I decided to have a food trip around Maginhawa. We successfully (and glutton-iously) ate in 8 food places. We both wanted to explode afterwards.

I enjoyed wearing white on white on white on this day because I felt free. I chose a red satchel to add flare to what I was wearing. 

I’ve never seen my backside and now I have. I particularly like these two photos because they’re seeing two sides of me. The one on the left is what most people see, the happy and random Deen while the one on the right is what some (and what my bedroom) see, an introverted Deen.
