On the front steps of the Commerce Street Luxury Apartments at 2 in the morning, Cillian heard footsteps break the silence on the darkened street. He stifled a yawn and continued to stare blankly ahead. “Nope, didn’t lock myself out of my apartment, just thought I’d wait to see the sunrise on a weekday. What’s your excuse?”

“This guy at the bar last night was convinced that he could beat me at arm wrestling. I think it was his bizarre way of flirting… showing off or something. We were both a little drunk, and he wanted to bet on it.” Sonam shrugged, one corner of her lips quirking into a shadow of a smirk. “Long story short, I’m fifty dollars richer, and he got his ass handed to him in front of a bunch of his friends.”

Felicity had been camping out on her couch for the better part of the day as she finally started binging Doctor Who on Netflix. It had been a long time coming and honestly, she’d only done it to watch Donna. “Yes!” The blonde exclaimed, clapping her hands at the character’s words. Her exclamation was cut off by a knock at the door. “Ooh shit, coming!” Putting the show on pause, she quickly headed to the door. It took a whole of five seconds to realise who was at the door when she opened it, a beaming smile appearing on her face. “Nadeem!” The petite green haired girl almost through herself at her brother, hugging him tightly. “It’s been forever since I’ve seen you!”

   IT HAD BEEN a while since nadeem was last here. whilst he spoke to his baby sister quite regularly, he hadn’t quite mentioned him moving to the big apple to her. but he was confident that she wouldn’t mind. after all, they are family and family comes above everything… right ??  quite hesitantly, he rapped the door with his knuckle, his other hand gripping tightly to his overnight bag. was he even at the right flat ??
