Ace figured she must have been another young soul who lost her family in the war from one of the towns and found refuge in the peristylium. “Would you like it if I showed you them?” he asked, if possible lightening up slightly now that they were talking about the chocobos.

“That’s so pretty…” 

      He failed to see what made it pretty; it’s a skill that’s used to take lives, to protect Suzaku, not something that should be thrown around so casually. “That is all that you wanted see, correct?” Ace asked, flipping a card in his hand. “If so, then I will be using the rest of my time to visit the ranch.”

Well, only Machina could pull off that dramatic swish.

      Calling his cards to his hand, Ace summoned forth Tri-Laser; as dully titled, three lasers appeared to shoot into the distance, floating for a time until disappearing.

“You can do the laser thing too?”

      “You are referring to one of my attacks? In that case, that is correct.”
