Decayed Erie

The Erie Malleable Iron plant in all its glory. The 4 story office building at the corner of the 6-acre factory will now be saved, along with stable adjoining buildings. That's good news from a preservation standpoint.

A bit of the overhead pedestrian walkway [see previous photos] can be seen at the very right edge of the photo.

Incidentally, another pedestrian walkway was demolished when its foundry across the side street was torn down in 2006. If you look between the second-floor windows on the left side of the corner offices you can see where it was attached.
