I watched Frenemy (also known as Little Fish, Strange Pond) without knowing anything about it (I prefer to avoid reading the backs of movies (and books for that matter) so that I don’t get any feelings toward it prior to experiencing it for myself). I like the movie a lot, but it was weird, and didn’t make a whole lot of sense. I read a bunch of reviews online where people said they wasted their money. Please ignore those reviews! This movie is not the hilarious movie that is advertised, and it does not show more than twenty minutes worth of Zach G., BUT it is a strangely wonderful movie. It’s really deep, it has dark humor, and a great cast. This is definitely the kind of movie you have to give a chance and simply put aside all preconceived notions about. It will not be what you expect, but that’s okay.
