Hey! My name is Charles. I am 20 and my pronouns are he/him. I am a half Canadian, half American college student studying to be a mortician.

Outside of school, I really like playing bass and guitar. I even have some music on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music under the name snugglyrat! I like a lot of different types of music, but mostly any type of rock.

I also like reading and writing. My favorite books are The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Dracula by Bram Stoker, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I mainly write poetry, but I also have another project I work on sometimes.

My favorite movies are Scream, Kill Your Darlings, Donnie Darko, Dead Poets Society, The Hangover, American Psycho, Ratatouille, Tragedy Girls, Terrifier 2, and Robots. As for TV series, my favorites are NBC Hannibal, Yellowjackets, House M.D., Chucky, My Little Pony, Monster High, and Ever After High.

I don't think I'll be able to go to an orchard this year due to financial problems, so I'm honestly a little heartbroken. Fall traditions make me happy and the fact I can't do something as simple as buy apple cider actually makes me angry. It's not just that I can't buy my favorite drink, it's that corporate greed grows stronger and stronger and now I can't even cover the necessities like food, gas, rent, bills, etc. I used to love my job, but they pay us minimum wage and cut our hours so most of us only work 1-3 days a week. We didn't really have any employee benefits before, but what we did have is being taken away from us. We aren't allowed to use the discounts that are offered to customers anymore. There's also been some unusual leadership changes in the past few months. The company owner has multiple locations that all make a lot of money. I know he can afford to pay us more than minimum wage, he just doesn't want to.
