This piece started out as something completely different; a random sketch between breaks, but a friend of mine really liked it for an album he’s currently working on. (It’s still on trial tho, lol)I’ll just say that the past two months have been really difficult since I’ve been dealing with major problems that kept me away from working or making art overall. I disappeared from all my social media since I was either too busy dealing with stuff or too tired from dealing with stuff. It will be long until those problems are over, but so far, the experiences I’ve been through have made me a lot more sensitive and daring, and I want to reflect that in my art.I owe an apology to the people I left hanging, and I promise I’ll go back to ya’ll. I’ll keep moving, so all I ask for is patience. The rest will flow...

Hey! As for materials I must confess I am very broke, so for traditional sketches I use only pencils and some black ink and water for creating the gradients. I also have an old case of pastel colors, I usually scrape them and mix the powder with water to make my palettes. (This is a bit time consuming, so I’d recomend you to start with pencils, charcoal and black and white ink, since I personally find them very easy and smooth to use, but you can try any other media you find interesting, it is all about experimenting and trying out a lot of things :) ) I am totally clueless about the paper lol I use a standard notebook with regular cheap paper. (This is wrong, don’t do it please) For digital illustrations I make a lot of collages just to get my ideas together, I also struggle a lot with creativity. Look up for artists with a style you’d like to try and save as many of their pictures as you can and try to figure what makes their art so appealing, how they use shape, values, light, what color palettes they use, and so on. It is ok to “copy” somebody’s art or style for learning purposes, (most artists start out like that, and eventually develop their own style by finding out what works for them and what doesn’t) and if you want to use one of my pieces as a guide I’d be more than honored and glad to help :DSorry about the loooong answer lmao I hope it has helped.

Long time no post... I kinda fell into crisis after the past 2 earthquakes (yesh, I’m from Mèxico) and it’s been a bit hard to get back to normal. I was also feeling tired of myself, I kinda feel like I’m restrained to only one style and I don’t see any improvement in my “art”. I’m going to try different styles in the future.  As for now, here’s this. October is here so let’s get spooky, aight!
