#22: Dream or omen⁣

Later that night, Nena had a dream. She saw a mirror in an abandoned temple and dipped her head through it. ⁣

Then all that she could see is white. ⁣

The next morning she asked the innkeeper if there is such place as the temple. Turned out, there is. ⁣

"Do you really want to go there, Nena? You know you are afraid." the extra head was at it again when Nena stepped out of the inn. ⁣

"I'm not."⁣

"You can be afraid and still go, you know."⁣

"I am not afraid."⁣

#21: Snack Time⁣

Do you know a lollipop can shine so bright when you have an extra head that can't stop talking about the things you don't want to hear? ⁣

I hope you have some sweets today. ⁣

#20: Fountain of health

"You never like pickles. Why did you say to the innkeeper that you love it? You could just refuse politely when she offered you some."⁣

"...."⁣

⁣

"I know you were angry at the boy who hid your shoes earlier"⁣

"No, I wasn't."⁣

"Pssshhh. Yes, you were."⁣

⁣

"Wow look! Don't you always want to go inside the witches' shops? Can we stop by later?"⁣

"...."⁣

⁣

"It'll be fun if we can find beautiful lace trimmings here, don't you think?"⁣

"...."⁣

"Why are you afraid of me?"⁣

"Because you exist. You shouldn't have existed!"⁣

"I exist. I always have. You just never choose to acknowledge me."⁣

"What do you mean?" ⁣

"Oh, that's the fountain the old lady said. Let's drink some water. I'm thirsty."⁣

⁣

Nena met an old lady earlier. She told Nena about this infamous fountain of health. If you drink a glass of water from the fountain while wishing for something, you'll be given the insight to reach your goal. But you can't drink more than a glass. ⁣

#19: Foul weather

Nena had yet to calm down, when it started raining outside. The sound of the rain was so loud, it's very distracting.

"OH LOOK! IT'S RAINING CANDIES!! HOW WONDERFUL!" Nena's other head exclaimed.

"How peculiar! W-wouldn't the windows break if they're hit by those hard candy?" Nena looked out the windows in concern.

#18: Mystic gift

Panicking, Nena took the mushroom under her pillow and started nibbling at it. The apothecary lady said that the potion could have a side effect, and the mushroom is a little bonus from her to fix it.

Nena thought that eating the mushroom will put the head back to sleep, so her knees went weak when she heard:

"Blergh!! Why would you eat that thing?"

#17: New friend

The next morning, Nena woke up in horror. Her extra head had its eyes open and its lips forming a smile. It then started looking like it talked but.....

#16: Inn for the night

It was a tiring day. After changing into some clean clothes, Nena drank the prescribed potion and put a mushroom under her pillow--as she's instructed to earlier. She drifted off to sleep as soon as she tucked herself into bed. Lucia was also fast asleep. ⁣

#15: Inventory check

What's in Nena's bag? It's honestly not much:

-some spare clothes for both her and Lucia

-a water bottle

-a purse where she keeps her money and some important trinkets

-a crystal grid, along with some crystals to charge Lucia on full moon and new moon

-a prescribed potion from the apothecary

-some mushrooms, also from the apothecary

#14: Scary Apothecary

Nena skimmed the map and a set of instructions she got earlier. She need to find the specific apothecary the doctor mentioned. Not so long after, she sees an antique apothecary sign.

"Ah, is that the one? It looks right." Nena wondered as she pushed the door.

She was startled when she saw the lady who's supposed to be the owner but then remember what the witch doctor said about looking shocked so she concealed it.

"Hi! What can I possibly help you with?"

The lady with a severed head asked.

"U-uh, I w-was given this prescription by the doctor..." Nena stuttered.

The following day, the witch doctor wrote a prescription for Nena. Nena was instructed to bring that to an apothecary in the wizarding realm.

"Will it be ok for a mere human like me to go through the portal, Doc?"

"Of course it is. I'll open it for you. Just don't look too shocked when you see the lady in the apothecary, ok? She's quite sensitive."

At the time, Nena had no idea of what that's supposed to mean. But she had no other choice than to simply nod.

"I'll prepare you a lunch to eat later."

"Oh, thank you! You don't have to!"

"Actually, I have to. In that condition, you need to eat some stars."

#10: Witch doctor

"Oh!"

"Finally!"

It's the Witch Doctor's hut. Nena rang the peculiar bell on the front door, and not so long after, she saw this beautiful lady welcoming her with a smile.

Sadly, after examining Nena closely, the witch doctor said that she couldn't really help.

"B-but why? Can't you just perform a surgery to take this other head off?"

"Oh, no, dear, it doesn't work like that! However peculiar it looks, it's still a part of you. There's a reason why it emerged from your shoulder like that. But until we know what it is, we can't recklessly do any harm to it--for it'll hurt your whole existence too."

Nena was so devastated. She was scared.

"So what should I do??"

The doctor smiled.
