For the month of April, you are invited to play Bingo, by creating posts based on the prompts on the bingo card(s).
Posts can be fics, fanart, moodboards, or whatever you can come up with - as long as they feature a Dean O'Gorman character (or Dean himself!). When you complete the prompt, you can mark that square off on your bingo card!
Please tag the @deanobingo blog and use the tag #deanobingo2026 on your posts so I can find them to put them on the masterlist! Please also be sure to tag all your posts appropriately (fandom, rating, pairing, etc.)! ;)
We have multiple cards to pick from: Character Bingo, Prompt Bingo, Medium Bingo - and two new cards, Reblog and Comments!

This is when you post the lovely content for your bingo card(s)! Event officially begins at midnight the morning of April 1st in the Auckland, NZ timezone.
Rules/FAQ’s:
When can I post?
Starting April 1st, through to the end of April 30th. For fun, the "home timezone" for the event is set as Auckland, NZ time (or "Deano time" as we called it on the server), but feel free to use your own timezone. There are no bingo police who will jail you for posting early/late, but the event is officially for April, so please don't spoil the fun by posting early.
Can I play on more than one card?
You are welcome to play on any or all of the cards!
Can my post count for more than one prompt?
Yes, your post can count for unlimited squares across all cards. So, if you're able to manage it, you could get Bingo across multiple cards with just one post. Let your creativity run wild!
Do I have to fill out the whole card?
Bingo is won by getting a line of five squares in any direction, up, down or diagonal. Consider this your challenge for the event! You are of course free to fill out the whole card or just the ones that interest you if you prefer. The goal is simply more Deano content. The "free space" square is just that, a 'free', no-post point.
Do I have to post fanfics?
You can post fanfics, fanart, moodboards, fanvids, or something we haven’t thought of! Maybe you want to make gifs of Jim Hawkins, or a Fili cake? The sky’s the limit!
Can I post a sequel to something else?
As long as you are posting the fic for the first time, feel free to post a sequel/new chapter of an existing work as a part of the Deano Bingo event. You can also post multiple “parts” of a single fic as different entries.
I was already working on something, can I post that?
Of course! As long as you’re posting the work for the first time, it doesn't matter if you were working on it before the event or not. :)
Can I post something for another event?
As long as it "counts" toward Deano Bingo and is posted in April, it doesn't matter if it also fits prompts/fills for another fandom event! Double dip!
Can I repost an old work?
The goal of the event is to increase the number of Deano fan works/posts. If you’ve never posted the fic before, then that would be fine, but please don’t repost something that was already up to count toward the Bingo event.
I don’t know most of the characters on the Character Bingo card!
If you’re looking for a place to watch a certain show/movie, check the list on the character card post, or send a private message for help. Feel free to send asks about certain characters if you’re feeling stuck or confused. If you’re struggling with a certain character, try making an AU!
What pairings can I use?
You don’t have to include any pairings, but any pairing is welcome. Just be sure to tag your posts accordingly!
Do I have to write reader-insert fics?
You don't have to write at all, but if you do, any type of fic is welcome from canon-only, OC, reader-insert, any POV/tense, etc.
Is there a word minimum/maximum?
Nope! Write as little or as much as you like. (It doesn't even need to be a fic.)
What do I do when I get bingo?
You don't have to do anything, but you can post your bingo card and links to the posts that got you your bingo/squares! :) This will help more people see them!

All entries for the classic cards have of course been reblogged by @deanobingo and have had plenty of eyes on them. 🩵 But I'd like to take a moment and highlight all those works I filled the Reblog + Comments cards with (besides deanobingo2026 entries by other fans) because I think they would have been easy to miss and I really enjoyed those two new cards and want more eyes on them.

“What kind of ‘thing’?”
Suddenly the doorway was crowded. Behind Ty entered Axl, sword over one shoulder; Mike holding a weird-looking stone that appeared to be glowing; Anders with a big grin on his face despite a black eye — leaning on Olaf who promptly gave her a thumb’s up.
“…a family thing?”
Dawn sighed and turned back to the kitchen. “Forget I asked.”

For @deanobingo and the prompts Iolaus + Deek + Meta
I feel like Young Iolaus and Deek from Doomrunners have a lot in common — besides both being played by Dean O’Gorman. They’re cut from the same cloth so to speak. They could have switched places and their stories would have developed in much the same way.
Deek’s circumstances seem not too far from Iolaus’ before he was caught stealing and was sent to the Academy. Living on the streets, circumventing the law, and putting yourself first, because (they believe) no one else will.
But once they learn to trust others, and realize there are people out there that are willing to care about them — to love them — it quite literary opens up a whole new world to them. A world were family — of your own making — becomes much more important than they could have ever imagined.
They are both stubborn, thrill-seeking, and brave. And though we don’t get to know Deek as well as Iolaus, I have the feeling that they are both fearlessly loyal once that loyalty has had time to put roots. Deek goes after Jada when she is captured even though they decided they shouldn't, just like Iolaus would do for Hercules.
Deek does seem a bit more serious than Iolaus, but he comes from a harsher world where everything is doom and gloom and have probably spent a longer time under these rough, isolating conditions. But given how much he seemed to enjoy messing with the Doomtroopers at the start of the movie I’m sure all he needs is a bit more time to soften that hard shell until he can let his inner prankster out!
Honestly, Deek could be a reincarnation of Iolaus somewhere in the apocalyptic future. But in that case I hope he finds Hercules somewhere in New Eden. ^^
