It’s scary

It’s nerve wrecking

It’s chaotic

What if they don’t mean it

What if their feelings go away

What if they stop loving you

What if they leave you like everyone else

But-

What if they don’t…

What if they stay

What if they grow old with you

What if they keep finding new ways to make you smile

What if you both keep each other happy

I hope he never stops trying

I hope he never stops looking at me the way he does

I hope that he’ll see flowers think of me and bring me them just because they made him think they’d make me smile

I hope he always holds my hand when we cross the street

I hope he always gets shy when I stare at him too long

I hope he never gets tired of me

I hope I’m good enough for him

I hope I can be what he needs me to be

I hope he continues to grow old with me
