On the contrary - Doc Mitchell was expecting a lot of things. Something completely hollow, or a total monster. It’s hard not to notice some things that don’t quite line up when you’re rooting around in his skull. 

But Coyote woke up and defied any and all expectations the good doctor may have had by reacting the same way a lot of people do when they realize they’ve survived a near-death experience ; he cried, for a long, long time.

Doc Mitchell may not really know what to think about him, but while he’s a bit of an oddball, Coyote’s not a bad person; and it isn’t that hard to warm up to him when he’s far kinder than you expected him to be.

This man is Chaotic Unknowable and Benny Gecko’s sleep paralysis demon with a gun. Nobody can even prove he exists.

He’s a bit of a mystery at the best of times, but he’s still found those willing to follow him as he carves a bloody path through the Mojave.

Those who are fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to know him personally, beyond the ghost stories and whispered warnings of vengeance and death, call him Coyote.
