“Eh, you do have a point…It’s gotta be hell accidentally running into stuff. Still, how goes the night stranger? Just out to get some fresh air? You seem more like the loner type, if I have to be honest. Though I don’t blame you. Sometimes you gotta recharge when you’re around other people, yeah?”

Rio gave a small shrug as she looked at the other. All things considered, she didn’t see a reason to be bothered by the other’s appearance. Hell, she couldn’t judge, given what she had become.

Saul nodded their head in agreement. Just talking about it made them miss their old height.  “I don’t think I’d fit in with a group anyway...” They mutter, trying on a laugh. 

Oh dear was right. Saul looked as casual as ever, but for the little spider, this was her first time seeing an actual moving corpse. Whelp, she did call the other a ‘Wonder.’ Once she finally collected her thoughts and processed the situation as a whole… Lilitu knelt down to Saul’s hand and removed her threads.

“I’m not sure whether you are or not, actually… This is my first time outside of my home. I just saw your hand and thought you were in distress…so I pulled you out with my silk. I apologize if I wronged you, ma’am…”

Oh thank goodness, for a second they thought this might constitute another ‘torch and pitchfork’ situation. Pulling themselves into a stand, they shake the excess dirt off of themselves before drawing to their full height. 

Here head tilted curiously at her apology, as if processing it. “Hmm...Oh, not at all. In fact, I suppose I was in distress. I buried myself a bit too deeply, you see.” That should be a satisfactory explanation. She hoped.

Oh dear.

 In the midst of the process of trying to secure purchase, Saul would find themselves pulled by the wrist from the earth, breaking through from shoulder, then head, all until they sat upright in their shallow grave looking around in bewilderment until their eyes came to rest on the strangers. They swallowed. “...Sorry, am I on private property again?”
