Okay so I’m guessing that the start of the episode COULD be Rick and Morty dying and then it’s revealed that it’s not actually our Rick and Morty and that this is the first few minutes before the intro, also in this scene we can see the entire family dead, so Idk who’s holding the freaking estate sale but I’m pretty sure I’m right that the estate sale is here because of the fricken CHILI

After this C137 and Morty go to the estate sale and we see Morty meet another version of him who funeral hops instead of focusing on the estate sale, and he tells Morty about the portal gun jr. and gives one to Morty

(The chilis in both of these scenes lol) Wanna know what’s also in the background tho? That’s right

Rick obviously took that platform thingy and we know from the clips that he got a bike just for it 💀 which is cool because we already see a sticky note on it so either that scene with funeral hopper Morty comes after, or the other (funnier) option

There’s a small chance Rick could’ve just taken it from this guy, although I’m pretty sure he took one of the other things around him

And I’m gonna be fr have no freaking clue what happens between most of this, maybe Morty got into a fight with Rick, maybe he was just curious,

I personally think that it might’ve been a fight though or someone said something that set him off because of the episode desc being “Tom Sawyer, Broh” and Tom Sawyer runs away/fakes his own death and Rick says that Morty can, “do better than getting emotional handjobs from a fake family” so the funeral hopper Morty likely does it so he can feel loved by his family because the Smith family never really expresses their love that often, ESPECIALLY Rick. (if this is really true I think it’d be devastating that they’d have to go to the extreme of DYING just to get affection)

But we see in the storyboards that at some point, our Morty might be funeral hopping as well, especially since because the part that contains the portal fluid looks like the one we see in the portal gun jr. The weird VR dimension where he died is throwing me off but this is a crazy guess here, maybe there’s like a way that he knows the dimensions holding funerals somehow and that includes simulations?

Anyways he ends up going to an actual funeral

The song that plays in this episode is by one of the people who made Don’t Look Back for the season 4 finale, and the lyrics HEAVILY correlate to what happens in the episode, everything down to the title actually relates to the episode, so from that I’m gonna infer from the song For Ages (which I’m guessing is gonna play near the end of the episode) foreshadows that Morty’s gonna end up running back to Rick in the end, for whatever reason, and the show finally acknowledges the fact that this probably isn’t a good thing

+Maybeee we see something happen to the original funeral hopper Morty that makes Morty stay, because he thinks that will happen to him

And the song title “for ages” might refer to the “Rick and Morty for a hundred years”, quote from the first season, but now we’re realizing that it’s not just a funny joke, but Morty genuinely can’t leave like evil Morty did, because he cares too much about his family (especially if the he’s funeral hopping so he can feel loved thing is true)

Don’t look back’s title probably was referring to season 3 episode 2 when Summer tells Jerry, “Don’t look back” and referencing old episodes in song titles for season finales would be so swag

Also the parallel with the whole smith family being dead outside and how Ricks original family died right in front of the garage is sending me into cardiac arrest

Yeahhh I’ve been updating super late recently turns out I have a medical condition that effects my ability to use my hands (it primarily impacts my dominant arm)

It's nothing serious or life threatening but I’m very bad at keeping to routines so it’s difficult to keep up with the maintenance that my arm needs, not going into further specifics unless if I feel I need to lol.
