Het is belangrijk om een onderscheid te maken tussen emoties en gevoelens, omdat die twee geen synoniemen voor elkaar zijn. Soms vergeet ik dit weer, vandaar dat ik het hier nu post.

Gevoelens vertegenwoordigen de stem van je ziel. Emoties vertolken de stem van het angstige, boze of droevige kind in jezelf. Gevoelens spreken via de zachte stem van je intuïtie, ze zijn niet opdringerig maar uitnodigend. emoties spreken de luide taal van drama en heftige lichamelijke sensaties. ze gaan gepaard met een weg zijn van jezelf, een verlies aan bewustzijn.

Zelfheling begint bij:

eerlijk erkennen van weggestopte emoties.

liefdevol laten zijn van die emoties. je doet een handreiking naar jezelf waarin je jouw diepste angsten en teleurstellingen omringt met begrip en compassie. Het kind dat worstelt met de donkere emoties (je schaduwkant) kan je terugleiden naar de engel in jou, de meeste liefdevolle en lichte kant van jou.
