He’s being nice, so fucking nice, and Charles does not know how to deal with it. It tugs at something in him, his secrets pulled to the surface with each gentle touch. With an unsteady sigh, he opens his mouth and finally spills- “I cannot figure it out. If I like men… or if I just like you.” Max goes very still. “Oh… oh, fuck, baby,” Max breathes.

Singapore 2019 Maybe it’s the heat. Or jetlag and lack of sleep. Or even the noxious, hazy air blanketing the city. Or maybe Charles is simply too exhausted to fight this any more.
