Good Morning Casablanca
We've Landed! Our departure from JFK went smoothly. However, getting there from D.C. took longer than expected. We were on the road for six hours! As soon as we checked in, it was time to board the plane. Excitement was in the air. Our students were eager to use the touch screen technology on their seats. Some students were a bit nervous because it was their first flight ever! Most of us were ready to eat. After dinner, it was lights out and before we knew it, the lights were back on and we were being served breakfast. Good Morning Casablanca!
On our way to JFK airport. Morocco here we come!

Getting Ready for Morocco!
Hello out there fellow travel enthusiasts! Twenty D.C. public school high school juniors and three teachers are getting ready for the adventure of a lifetime - one week in Morocco! We spent many weeks preparing for the trip by learning about Moroccan culture, food, language, and customs. A representative from the Moroccan Embassy told us about special Moroccan tea, spices, and oils and the growing solar panel industry there. We've learned that while the temperature will be hot, modest clothing is expected in a Muslim country. In getting ready for the trip, we have to pack in preparation for a camel ride, sleeping in the desert, and city living. Now that we have our passports in hand, a packing list, and an itinerary, we need to spend our time practicing French, learning some Arabic phrases, and reading up on the country we hope to learn more about. Want to come along on our adventure? Follow our blog. If wifi allows, we hope to post daily.
