            surely, dohwan had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. thankfully, the bullet merely pierced his body and not his head. no, if the bullet had caught his head now THAT would be a problem. as he was about to walk away and find the davis building to get the bullet hole patched up, he caught the eye of someone who had watched that happen. there was a slightly nervous smile that came to his face. “i’m okay, really. no need to call an ambulance -- please don’t call an ambulance.” that would be unnecessary explaining that he didn’t feel like doing. 

             it was in that moment that dohwan realized that this was one battle he wasn’t going to win. humans are so funny; they turn down people who care when they’re causing themselves harm. “you’re right,” a soft voice said in defeat. “when you’re overdosing on something you took, don’t come crying to me as though i didn’t ever try to help you. if you want to fuck yourself up, don’t expect people to stick around to watch it happen. especially when you’re being a jackass about it.”

            dohwan sighed quietly as his head gave a few small shakes. the next feeling he experienced was defeat. “i thought that you’d at least listen to someone close to you,” though he wasn’t sure he could call himself CLOSE with him. “if you want to shut me out and pretend i’m not being truthful, be my guest.”

            it was relieving to hear that the other was offering to help him out. dohwan was quick to put his phone back in his pocket, a smile now gleaming towards the other man. “thank you! i really appreciate it.” it was a little embarrassing to need help navigating, but to him the world is a new place and it’s far too large to go through it easily. “i’ll follow you?”

            a single hand scratched at the back of his neck, a sign of dohwan’s confusion. to the first person who he laid eyes on, he stopped them and asked for clarification. “i’m supposed to be going to THIS address,” he points to it on his phone, “but i can’t seem to find it... are you able to help me out?”
