Navigating the Unpopular Path:
Being a Tourism Student and Airsoft Enthusiast.
By Dc Cabulong | BSTM3202
As a tourism student, people expect me to be elegant and refined. But I have a secret passion - airsoft, a sport that's rough, exciting, and not typically associated with tourism.
At first, I struggled to balance my two interests. My friends awould raise an eyebrow when I talked about airsoft. They wondered how someone who loves tourism could also love a sport that's so different.
But as I thought about it, I realized that my two interests aren't so different after all. The skills I learned from airsoft, like teamwork and problem-solving, are helpful in tourism too. And being in airsoft has given me a fresh perspective on tourism.
Embracing my love for airsoft has also taught me to be true to myself. I've learned to proudly say what I love, even if it's not what others expect. This confidence has helped me in my studies and will help me in my future career.
I'm glad I didn't give up on my passion for airsoft. It's made me who I am today. I've learned that it's okay to be different and that our unique interests and passions are what make us special.
In the end, being a tourism student and airsoft enthusiast has taught me to be brave, be myself, and celebrate what makes me different.
