We are coming up on the end of DBDA Secret Pumpkin 2025, now only 4 days away! I'm looking forward to seeing what you all have created.

If, at this point, you are realising that you won't be able to complete your work before the deadline, now is the time to contact me! You can either request an extension, or let me know that you'd like to drop your assignment. Please reply to this post, send a DM, or email to let me know.

We are now seeking pinch hitters and beta readers for DBDA Secret Pumpkin!

We have several works which require pinch hitters at the moment, of which you will be able to take your pick. You don't have to already be a participant in the exchange to volunteer as a pinch hitter; anyone who is willing to pitch in is very welcome and very much appreciated. The general deadline is 30th April, but if you're willing to pinch hit if you only had a bit longer to complete a work then you can let me know in the form and I'll be happy to accommodate.

We're also looking for people who are willing to beta read participants' fanworks! This was something people expressed an interest in offering and receiving during the setup for this year's exchange.

Hello everyone!

Firstly, I owe you all an apology for going AWOL for the last few months. I know that check-ins were meant to be sent out in early January, and it is now...almost March. So. Apologies.

In light of this, it's only fair to extend the deadline for this exchange. So, the new submission deadline is going to be 30th April. I hope that's sufficient time for everyone to get their metaphorical ducks in a row, but if not - that's what the check-in form is for!

If you're signed up to the exchange, you will have received an email with pretty much the same content as this post that also includes a link to the check-in form for the exchange. If you're participating and you haven't got this email, please reach out and let me know.

The deadline to fill out the form is 11th March (2 weeks from now). If I don't hear from you by then, I will assume that you've dropped out and will hand your assignment over to a pinch hitter.

You don't have to have completed your work by now, but if you want to stay involved, please do respond to let me know how it's going. (If the answer is badly, that's fine too! As long as I know, and I know that you still want to participate.)

The assignments for the DBDA Secret Pumpkin 2025 have now been released! You now have until the 7th December to request reassignment if you so wish, or if you're happy with your pairing, you can start working on it anytime.

Apologies for the delay in getting these out, matching things appropriately turned out to be more complicated than I anticipated and I ended up rather busier than I thought I was going to be. That's entirely my bad. I will, in the near future, be figuring out, and getting your input on, the possibility of extending the final submission deadline to reflect this.
