...what if Mori actually told everyone to NOT look for Dazai.

Even if they did capture Dazai, what would they do? Kill him? Torture him? As if there was any way they could get Dazai to go with them (unwillingly anyway). Mori doesn't even want Dazai dead.

Let's say that they somehow manage to take Dazai back kicking and screaming during that 2-year period. Dazai literally holds some of the most dangerous/sensitive information about the PM due to his association to the boss himself, and one move from him could topple down the entire organization (or, at the very least, make it harder for the organization for the next decade or 2).

I hardly think his death could ever stop him from destroying the PM, and back then, the Tripartite wasn't fully realized as well, so there was no stopping Dazai from saying "fuck the tripartite".

Additionally, Taneda only required the 2-year dissappearance to clear his record specifically. Nothing was stated about him needing protection.

This also fits better with the mindset that Mori has. He seems willing to let Dazai just do what he wants for the most part. He's acting a bit like an indulging father (not in a good way. It feels like a ploy for something bigger...) PLUS! It sounds like the biggest waste of resources to look for someone he specifically pushed out of the organization in the first place.

dazai and chuuya really will scramble to get back to yokohama (which i thought fyodor will be doing with the help of nikolai but oh well) coz dazai is the only one who can help permakill fyodor. i KNEW that fyodor would like to get away from dazai and chuuya as fast as possible and go to the main battlefield asap

-Dazai is definitely set on not letting Chuuya go near Fyodor. Even when presumed dead, it was Dazai who was willing to go near Fyodor while Chuuya is at a distance (Chuuya could just be enjoying seeing Dazai put some effort, but also, Chuuya could have offered to touch the boulder to lift it up, but Dazai just didn't let him). This was because Dazai assumed it was touch-activated BUT knows there is something more to it

-It is more likely that it is blood-activated instead. Karma had to touch his blood after the blow to the head by Ace. That's how it immediately worked on that knight that stabbed him as well.

- If it really is blood-activated, then I have some thoughts on when he could have gotten Chuuya somehow. It was when Dazai injured Fyodor's hand. A simple flick of the blood would be enough to get Chuuya. HOWEVER, I'd also argue that he wasn't able to get Chuuya at all. I think the blood has to touch skin, and Chuuya was very covered up. The only available space is on Chuuya's face and neck. Im 95% sure Chuuya is safe tbh. The other 5% being the remaining exposed skin of Chuuya's (firm believer that Chuuya is actually safer compared to Dazai's and Sigma's odds)

-The thing is, even if Fyodor tried anything on Chuuya, Arahabaki would simply come out... unless that is what Fyodor intended - activating corruption for something.

-I still don't think anything irreversible will happen to Chuuya though, if that really is the case. Seems like an odd period in the series to permanently kill him. Also, Asagiri has a habit of making Dazai go first and Chuuya will follow when it comes to death/ near death (Dead Apple, Beast). Not sure if he would change the formula for this tbh? He might surprise me, but otherwise, this just means that someone has to get Dazai to die first.

-The people who did touch Fyodor's blood are Dazai and Nikolai...but was that even actually Fyodor's arm? Was that even Fyodor's blood? That leaves us with no one

-What are the odds of Nikolai and Fyodor making a run for it because they have other things to do? So maybe the real problem is how Dazai, Chuuya, and Sigma will catch up to where those 2 are when Nikolai exists. At the end of the day, this is still a race to get the book after all.

im definitely one of those people who are very sure nothing bad will happen to chuuya

dazai being comfy around chuuya and using him as a sounding board for ideas and chuuya subtly trying to make dazai calm down because dazai worrying is making him worry too

Ok, did I understand this correctly? Is Fyodor's actual ability to be able to switch his body with someone else who could take the punishment for him?

The activation still confuses me, because initially, I was going to say that someone has to want to harm him, thus, crime (that's how it worked on Sigma, and this is how Chuuya and Dazai could be in danger), but then my mind went back to Karma from S3 who I don't think ever wanted to harm Fyodor... unless that guy secretly did?

ok Fyodor's scary ability aside, Dazai sprinting WITH A BROKEN LEG. SIR. That has got to hurt... lol at Chuuya for not helping though (he was stressing because Dazai was stressed, and tbh same...)
