all her life, stories of what lay south had been more or less the same -- great beasts that would destroy everything in their path, destroy the freedom that she’d been born into. they weren’t to be trusted, and certainly that could be said of others ( she’d never intended to pry, only caught bits of the elder stark girl’s stories in passing, ones that made even her skin crawl for once ), but not those her trust of had been forged in fire. “your brother.” she was no blood of winterfell, she never would be, and though plenty of time had passed since the circumstances that first brought her to this place, still she found herself struggling to acclimate. but acclimated or not, there was no mistaking the familiar glint in the eyes of arya stark -- the very same glint she’d been said to possess. “he told me once you’d fit in well with us, i can see now that he was right.”

always the silent one, always the one to value thought put into words before they were said -- why should this time be any different? it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be -- she was far from judging ( just like seladon, to reach her arms out so far even at the risk of getting her hand cut off ), more than content to sit in silence with her, just as she had many times before. she was far from judging -- a bridge she’d been, a bridge she would continue to be. “i won’t make you talk if you don’t want to.” the scars had stood out after all the excitement, but there hadn’t been time -- whatever precious little they might have left now, she was fine to spend it like this. “but know i’m here, when you’re ready.”
