“It’s only allowed to inflate your ego if it means I can fish more compliments out of you. And maybe get you to buy me more chocolate.”

“Good, or else it would be hard to explain later.”

“Just don’t let it inflate your ego too much.”

“I guess I can live with that.”

“Good. Because I’m not taking it back.”

“Maybe once or twice.”

“Well consider this the second or third time someone has told you.”

“I have to try my best when I’m always around someone as beautiful as you.”

“Has anyone ever told you that you’re really good at flattery?”

“I still don’t know how I pulled that off.”

“It was ridiculous, but you still looked beautiful.”

“It was. Even if we had to be formal.”

“You have to admit, I looked pretty cute in that big, poofy dress my mom made my wear.”

“And I don’t want you to be sad. So the only way you’re going to get me attempting to be formal is if we go to that masquerade thing again or something.”

“To be fair, that masquerade was really fun. So it’s worth being formal.”

“I won’t, just for you.”

“Good. I’d be pretty sad if you did.”

“Yeah it’s too late for that, so you’re stuck with me how I am.”

“That’s okay. Because I love you the way you are. Don’t ever change.”

“Honestly I don’t think I could be as formal as your dad. Even if we lived six hundred years ago.”

“My dad is just my dad. I think he was formal the second he was born.”

“…If it helps, I promise to never be as serious or uptight as your dad.”

“Yeah, they sure do. Even if your dad is uptight, your family is perfect. Probably because your mom makes up for it.”
