A few months ago I was contacted by Unfamed magazine to contribute to their issue zero. The only brief given was "Se il progetto ti interessa, il numero zero ha come tema Door Larrey 11 di Marcel Duchamp. Se hai lavori già fatti oppure ti piacerebbe realizzare qualcosa su questo tema saremmo felici di pubblicare...", which loosely translates: if the project interests you, our issue zero has for theme Duchamp's Door Larrey 11...

So I started to look for texts and images that could work around the ideas of objet trouvé and the definitions of chance and event. I am not sure the door is about that, however, I'm pretty sure that I am not totally far off.

This is what I produced during a 2 week residency in Puglia, Italy, in November 2011. There I joined the Italian pop group XMary during their recording sessions. Meanwhile, I was climbing orange and mandarin trees in the hope of founding out a little bit more of the surroundings, a lost love affair and seasonal mood swings.

Photographing the Self
