No shame in shooting your shot, but with that said I have been hit on a weird amount on this account for someone in a monogamous committed relationship spanning almost four years. (Partner thinks it's funny too). Maybe it's just a tumblr thing but I choose to believe that I just have a knack for making accounts that draw romantic interest.

Every work is derivative of every other work in conscious and subconscious ways. Consciously, I think it's already known that I like Vote4Holt's Welcome To The Game 2 video, and beyond that, Mother Horse Eyes played a role too. I like games with secrets and media covering those secrets surrounding them a lot. That means Undertale (par for the course here, amirite) and Noita and Fez. Just got addicted to Spiritfall (2023) and I'm 99% sure that has unsolved stuff which I'm currently playing with. Contrary to what you might expect given the subject matter, I'm not religious at all, but a mixture of Wendigoon's coverage of the Mandela catalogue and my Jewish upbringing (mainly the exposure to hamsas, (the eye hand thing)) probably also played a role. I like Poe a little bit but in the way that you like him if you just generally like English class in high school. There are other contemporary writers who've had a much stronger influence on me, though probably not so much for this project. Maybe Elizabeth Knox's "The Absolute Book" a tiny bit? I come from a cybersecurity background so the culture surrounding CTFs (i.e. hackthebox.com) is in there. I'm the lead on the project but "A Certain Crow" is a real person who helped me and fed me some ideas, hence the design credit. They also like crows (duh) which played a role in the writing. I'll go over this in a proper devlog either this week or next month but this project was also at its core a 3 day adhd-hyperfixation, so influences over and preceding those 3 days were probably amplified compared to a longer project where I would question myself more, edit more out, succumb to scope creep and never release.
