i made a joke to my husband that old me would be so proud of where i was now and he laughed and said old me would hate new me..guess growing doesnt always look like what we wanted but what we needed

honestly learning how to forgive after a lifetime of resentment and grudge holding was such a difficult but freeing experience..so much to let go of yet at the same time those bad habits were what was keeping me safe throughout all of my traumatic years it was bittersweet to let go of my angry self but i would never go back to her

the delusions persist but so do i
