and I will be the friend who is too woke by saying that there is honestly no logical explanation for the disproportionate hatred of roque compared to basically any other character in the series outside of the fact that he is described as pretty and androgynous/feminine which makes him impossible for the wider fanbase to project a hypermasculine image onto. roque isn't even top 15 most evil characters in the series yet everyone hates him to a ridiculous degree while rapist pedophile characters who are more traditionally masculine are given passes because they have hype moments and aura. you literally don't have to like roque i don't care but i think it would do everyone good to reflect upon why they hate him specifically so much
