I may not be 'little miss perfect' He gestured to her in an overly sarcastic, almost condescending way to make sure if point was made clear. I failed freshman year, but since then, I've been fine. My grades aren't perfect no, but they sure as hell beat some other kids here. Most of the time, I just like to have fun, but I can tell as soon as you started talking, the fun went 'woosh' and just left the room.

Naw man, the part about the tears helps people understand how much pain I was in.  It’s a important part of the story.
