Updated this image to celebrate a great few weeks for the #AllTrials campaign! Lots of progress made, but more to do (www.alltrials.net).
Although the reporting rate seems to have increased significantly for more recent trials (thanks in part to AllTrials), a number of studies still suggest that around HALF of trials done on the drugs we use today remain unpublished and hidden; i.e. their results are unavailable to the doctors prescribing the drugs!
So spread the word and if you get a chance, sign the petition at www.alltrials.net to help make medicine truly evidence based.

Happy Clinical Trials Day! Please sign the AllTrials petition to mark the occasion! [Another image I did for Sense About Science's AllTrials campaign]
Thousands of clinical trials have not reported their results; some have not even been registered.
Information on what was done and what was found in these trials could be lost forever to doctors and researchers, leading to bad treatment decisions, missed opportunities for good medicine, and trials being repeated.
All trials past and present should be registered, and the full methods and the results reported.
Join the call on governments, regulators and research bodies to implement measures to achieve this.
