“Was it when he threw you onto the ground? That was a pretty hard hit for anyone.”
Helena nodded, not offering a resigning word. It was better not to fight it, in her experience. Besides, if it was a concussion, better to know than just try to nurse it improperly.
“Yeah, if I were to take a wild guess, that’s what I’d assume. And thanks... for what it’s worth.”

Quickly popping up from his spot, Jason fired off a few shots to immobilize his targets. Though he didn’t have any non-lethal rounds on him, he fired at non-lethal parts of the body: shoulders, legs, hands, feet. Just enough to get them down and out of the way.
Helena followed Red Hood’s lead, keeping the fight at a distance for as long as she could, but for every bolt she lodged into someone’s shoulder, another five slugs came aimed at the two of them. The fight would have to change pace, and quickly.

It was mostly for show that he was hovering over the guy they’d taken down, observing her from the corner of his eye to make sure she wasn’t hurt too badly. His whited-out cowl lenses definitely helped keep it discreet.
“Yeah, let’s go.” He shot a line up to the nearest roof and zipped up, glancing back at her to see if she needed any assistance.
Helena fired off a line and followed closely behind, but she could feel his eyes on her as she landed on the rooftop overhead. As the line retracted into her crossbow she looked at him with a soft, almost convincing smile.
“I’m fine. Really.”

“I’m not Katniss.” With a grumble, Helena fired her bolt down the narrow hallway, causing a sensory effect for the men barreling towards them. It wasn’t quite a flash bang but it was enough to do the trick. “Fish in a barrel.”

“Thanks. Same to you.” It was a little odd, admittedly, to hear her say that but he turned away to make call through his comm link.
“ETA four minutes. Apparently someone spotted us and called it in already. You alright though? That was… kind of heavy hit you took.” He collapsed his staff and tucked it away, looking the guy over.
“Always a good night when I don’t have to speak to or sneak away from the cops.”
Helena was actively ignoring the ringing in her ears and the aura or pain that currently hung like a mass around her head. Just powering through until she could get back to her safe house and dig into her stash of ibuprofen and ice packs. She tried to hide any sign of it as she fitted a grapple into her crossbow.
“Nothing I haven’t dealt with before. We should get to the rooftops, though.”
