So i had this idea of TKDB students (every student, ghoul or not) having specific physical traits after being assigned to their first house, these traits are only visible inside Darkwick's grounds and if you transfer to another house your traits will be fused with the ones of the new house (Still don't have a guide for it so it will take some time).
For clarification: If you are in the same house as the first day you enrolled your traits wont be mixed, mixed traits are ONLY for students that transferred houses.
Under the cut there is a design explanation for every house, if you are either curious about the headcanon or want to do it with your OC go ahead and take a look! (If your OC is a replacement of the MC then pick whatever house you want, after all she was never assigned to any house and is only using Clementia as a shelter)
○ Remember to use the natural hair of your character, no matter if they dyed it completly, the tail and horn depends on the real hair of the student.
○ Horns can be straight or curved, just make sure to keep the size of the year.
○ Any snake tail is valid, from piton to rattlesnake, so the color and pattern of the tail deppend on which one you choose.
○ As said, only REAL animal horns, they can be stylized tho, just make sure it is still notorious that it belongs to an animal.
○ NO NEED for the antennae and wings to be realistic, you can twist them into a more cartoonish shape (in universe they do look realistic)
○ Be sure to use insects with both antennae and wings.
○ Antlers are different for everyone, no need to stick to the ones i drew and you could decorate them too.
○ The skull marking can have "craks" anywhere and have different amounts and sizes of fangs.
○ Be creative with the face markings, the marks appear in the same places as in the drawing but you can give any pattern.
○ The colors of the fox traits are bassed off of real foxes' fur, so pick between them.
○ The scales can be of any rock type: Obsidian, stone, diamond, granite... Same with the ears but much less hardened.
○ The little wings on the back are just markings, like a tattoo.
○ The fire of the tails can be of any color.
○ Pattern colors are usually shades of black/brown and sometimes orange depending on the cat breed.
○ This is one of the most customizable houses, tail tips and horns aren't limited to the ones i drew, add what you want to the tail tip and be creative with the horn quantity, placement and shape.
○ Wing color isn't attached to the hand + tail one, you can use any color.
○ As said, the halos dont have to be just circles, they can be squares, stars, triangles... Even animal and object shaped, and can be as detailed as you want.
○ The wings on the head don't need to be open like that, that was only for the reference, they can be closed, downward and even covering the eyes.
○ The dog heads are just that, heads, no body can be seen aside from the little paws, they also can't get too far away from their owner, 10 meters at much.
○ Obviously the breed isn't limited to the pics in there, that was just an example of some breeds.

Actually first and foremost, you know how the students get put in their respective houses by that anomaly during the orientation? So does that mean that, during that moment they get their special features? If they need to change houses, do they need to hold that hand again?

First, yes, the students, as you said, are assigned by the anomaly in the orientation, and will get the traits at the moment along with the respective house uniform, but the traits aren't given by that anomaly.
I wasn't planning to talk about this until i have all of them finished but it will help to answer the question. In my AU each house has a guardian, a living anomaly that you could say is the "soul" of the houses, after the orientation anomaly decides where is a student going, the respective guardian notice that there is a new soul under their sight and gives the student a "blessing", that is the one making the traits appear.
As for the transfered students, there is no need for them to take that anomaly hand again, the moment all the paperwork for the transfer is done the new traits will appear replacing some of the old ones, the guardians know everything that happens in Darkwick's grounds, so when the transfer is finally official they will "bless" the student.
And since i already talked about them have the first design i've done, lore wise i wont say much tho, is quite big and it will be better to explain it when i have the rest done but i could try to answer any question about them as long as is not important to their general lore in the timeline.

At first i didnt thought about the students having behavior changes with the traits, it was merely visual, but after talking with some friends we ended up adding a lot of little things to it, i still didnt think about every house and sometimes was just about a single character. But as an idea, Sinostra students for example, out of instinct they will fight like deers do, so is not a strange sight to see 2 students of that house with their antlers stuck, or Leo, that has a rattlesnake tail, will make him pass a bad time to hide that he is annoyed/angry like he usually does, because the tail will automaticaly react to the emotions XD.
And yes, after graduation they will keep the traits, but since they are only visible inside Darkwick it wont be to much of a problem to them, if years later they go back to the island the traits will be there.
In general all the students can interact with the guardians, communication wise they dont talk, they make, like, a very distortioned and echoed sound, but they all have their own specific "voice" so is easy to tell which one is the one you heard. The understandable communication can only happen with the captains, no matter if is a ghoul or a normal human, the captain is the lider of the house and needs to have proper interaction with their own guardian (the captains can understand every guardian, they aren't limited to their own).
And for that last question, more than having beef with each other you could say they follow the energy of the students living in their house. They where indeed dormant with each other, until the clash. But this already is part of the general lore that will explain the actual state of the guardians in the timeline so i have to hold myself back and dont tell more

Some last questions, after the clash, what happened to the guardians of the now defunct houses?
And can they heal their students? Say, we know many got injured and many died during the clash right? What did the guardians do at that time? If they can indeed heal their students does that mean Zenji is alive in your au?
Clementia and Ultio are in an extremely weakened and permasealed state, because:
1. There isnt any student with them anymore
2. Their buildings/bodies are practically destroyed, at least Clementia used to look like that before Mio, we didnt have to much of a look to Ultio so im just asuming is as detroyed as Clementia was. I didnt thought what will happen now that is restored but i might let it weakened, just not as much as before.
As for the healing, while is something i didn't think about before and actualy could bring quite the changes to the timeline, i wont give them that hability, yes, they will protect their students as much as they can, but the clash was to big of an event, and the guardians themselfs where involved too.
Depending on the sealed form i make it, im still debating on what to do but if i end up making it security related then the guardian will be actively used by the guards in their sealed form. Other than that there would be no change in the guardian since even if the house and the guardian are being used it lost the entirety of students assigned to it, the guardians need both a good care on the building and students under their sight to be "complete", and therefore, to be healty and in good shape.
If something similar to the clash ever happens and one of the guardians where to attack Clementia/Ultio they could easly kill them forever, that would left no house at all, the only thing that would remain is the building completly collapsed to the ground, with no way of rebuilding them.

What about the students who have transfered from the house they were first put in?
Like Say Haku yes? He was in Clementia first, then in Frostheim and finally in Hotarubi. So does he change like- what Mythical beast he is?...tho I guess with him it would make sense since he's a kitsune (unless there's some restriction on kitsunes against changing into other mythical beasts?) But he's not the only one! We also have Yuri and Tohma who were in different houses so I'm just curious

1. There is actually a rule for students that transfered houses, I just made a slight mention to it because I still dont have a guide for it and I gotta arrange a lot of things for it to make sense and be unsderstandable.
If you saw my 2 edit posts you would seen that Tohma is missing in both, the reason is because he transfered and now is under the hibrid cathegory, Im planing on post all the hibrids together once I got them done but it will take some time since im going in house order.
Whatever I say in here could be changed by the time I post the hibrid guide, but shortly explained: The students that transfer will have mixed traits, in scale 2/3 traits are from the old house. Haku is a more complex case since he had been in 3 houses, so his traits probably will be 1/3.
2. Yes, Lyca and Ed will get the gargoyle traits too but they will not interfere in their werewolf/bat forms, only the human apearence and Lyca will be a tailess gargoyle so his wolf tail can show up without any problem in that half-wolf form.
3. If you are talking about MC ocs yes, i talked about them, but if you mean Luna (canon MC) then no, she was never assigned to any house and Clementia is just her shelter, obviously being a traitless student will make her pop up more between all the students so some of the ghouls will gift her trinkets that look like their house creature to make her feel like she belongs, even if is just a little bit.

Gotta be honest, I LOVE how Clementia's logo turned out, but im not really happy with Ultio's one, the lack of context and visual reference of the house made the design and color choice dificult since i could only rely on "the house is used as a prision"

Description:
A kind and friendly girl who spends much of her time making sure her captain doesn't overexert himself. Previously belonging to Dionysia, she was known for being one of the best escape artists in the shows. Only a small group of people know the truth behind her origins as a ghoul.
About:
Her stigma as said in the pic is Opniam, the power of it will be metamorphosis, she can turn in any animal, people or low rank anomaly she wants. The downside of her stigma is that even if she can make a perfect copy of the body and alter her vocal cords to match the voice/sound of what she turned into, her eyes color and freckles under those never change, if needed she will put on contact lenses and a bit of makeup (if turned into another human) to have a perfect copy.
With the arrival of MC to Darkwick, she can now make perfect copies of who she wants to impersonate and turn into high rank anomalies/mythological creatures (like a dragon, phoenix, mermaid...) while holding hands with her.
Ami isn't the only ghoul in her family, in fact, she was born as one, a very, very distant ancestor of her made the pact wih a demon, wishing that all their bloodline was a ghoul from that moment on. That being said, the other ghouls in her family are her mother Kimiko, and grandparent Osuke [Osukai]. Her father and grandmother are normal humans but they both know about ghouls and that their parters and daughter/granddaughter are ones too.

Lover:
They met during Ami's first year at Darkwick, but they didn't get off to the best start. Taiga's impulsiveness and forgetfulness began to annoy her every time she had to go see him, whether it was for a general matter between houses or to try to fix something that someone from Dionysia had caused. Every time she went there, he would always shoot and interrogate her about who she was, and one day, tired of this routine, she ended up immobilizing Taiga on the floor with her ink creatures before he could do anything. She let him go as soon as she had finished what she had to say and left, but that action on Ami's part caught Taiga's attention. Few, if any, would dare to try something like that, so from that day on, Ami began to stay in Taiga's disastrous mind.
The next encounter after that, to Ami's surprise, was more... normal? Taiga still had an uncooperative attitude that continued to annoy her, but unlike other times, he didn't shoot at her or ask who she was when she entered. He still didn't knew her name, but he gave her a nickname that his mind would be able to remember: Inky.
After that, they began to become friends, and Taiga changed her nickname to Mimi, something much closer to the name Ami, which she tried many times to get him to remember. They became a couple in the last months of that school year.
Found family:
In just one year, her bond with the ghouls of Dionysia became extremely strong. Elias introduced her to the rest of the group on the same day that she and Mio entered Darkwick, as the two had been online friends for a long time and had met in person a couple of years earlier. Ami quickly adapted to their “family” routines, such as having breakfast or dinner together, and they all began to see her as a little sister, while she saw them as her older brothers.
To this day, despite the provation the students of the house went through and the closure Dionysia suffered due to their desertion, Ami's relationship with the ghouls has not changed in the slightest. In Jabberwock, she has been constantly helping Haru, and in her daily life she sought out Elias to talk to him, even if only for a few minutes a day. As for the rest, since what happened, she has been trying to find the place where they were taken.
The news that Dionysia was going to reopen its doors and that her older brothers were coming back made her very happy, and she wasted no time in going to see them after so many months.
Dislike:
Leo: Long story short, he took advantage of her power (when he discovered she was a ghoul) and social status, after she realized that she just cut off every bond with him. That made her more reserved when it came to telling others those things.
Hyde: At first she didnt have any problem with him, it was a cool teacher for her. Things changed when Taiga started to tell her what he thinks of Hyde, it didnt get to deep in her the first times but she was a little more aware of him. It wasnt until the mission where Sinostra was send to Shi San Long and Romeo told her about the fake warding card Hyde gave him that she began to dislike him.
Extra Facts + Sprites:
She's bisexual and Jo gave her the biggest bi panic of her life when they first meet.
She comes from a rich family. Kimiko used to be a surgeon and Kōji (her father) a lawyer, both of them left their jobs when Kimiko got pregnant, they already had enough money to live and wanted to give all their attention to their future child. Now they run a bakery and Ami helps in there when she can.
Has 3 pets, a fennec, a sugar glider and a hedgehog.
She has an EXTREME fear of cockroaches, it's the only thing that scares her like that, she doesn't have a negative reaction to any other insects.

I made Idia in the Tokyo Debunker artstyle, and not only that, I also gave him lore to fit in that universe while trying to keep most of the original.
First of, he would be a ghoul (for obvious reasons), that means he has a stigma. The stigma will be a similar power to his UM, but instead of opening the gates to the underworld, he can bring back the soul of a perished one for a limited amount of time (if he is holding the MC's hand the power would get a boost letting him summon more than a single soul). The incantation to use the power will be "Vonore", an anagram of the Ars Goetia: Ronove.
In Darkwick, he is a third year student in Frostheim, the reason to put him in that house is because his family is both famous and rich, usually the people who end up in that house has those traits, but he barely leaves his room and doesn't go to any party the house celebrates.
The artifact is a pendant lamp which principal purpose is to create illusory smoke, i don't have to much lore for this, i just tried to give Idia something that matches with him and still follows Frostheim's weapon aesthetic (*￣∇￣).
Now, for the wish he made to become a ghoul, i need to explain a bit of his family in this universe:
As i said earlier, the Shroud's are a well known and rich family (they will be grave keepers or any other job related to death and graveyards, i still dont have that clear), the thing is that his parents, much to Idia's displeasure, already arranged a marriage for when he is older, to maintain the high status they have and bla bla bla... He knew he couldn't fight his parents' decision so all he could do was to search for comfort in his little brother Ortho. As long as Ortho stayed with him he would have nothing to fear, but life isn't fair. One day, while Ortho was going to school, he suffered an accident, they tried to save him, but he died a few hours after getting to the hospital.
Now Idia was all alone (aside from the online friends he has), he lost his little brother, the only one that understood him and his feelings, and sooner or later he will forcefully marry to someone he doesn't even know how it looks. Out of desperation, one night he summoned a demon, and asked for a normal life, fame, status, arranged marriages... He didn't want any of that, he wanted to escape from that. After the deal was done and Idia became a ghoul, his hair suffered a side effect, it was now permanently on fire, blue flames replacing his hair. Knowing he couldn't let his family see him like that, he decided to run away from home, putting a hood over his head since no one should see what his hair is now.
After a few days, he saw in the TV a notice about his family, about how suddenly they lost a big amount of money and status, and how the family he was supposed to marry canceled the contract because of the Shroud's status lost (and because the only son they still had disappeared without any trace).
Now in Darkwick's grounds he doesn't hide his hair, since that place is full of anomalies and people who know about those things. If he needs to get out of the campus and go to the city Idia will use the illusory smoke of his pendant lamp to make his hair look normal.
If others have the rare opportunity to witness him outside his room they will usually see him talking alone, at least that is what it looks like, but in reality, he is constantly using his stigma to keep his little brother by his side.
A friend asked me another character to do so i hope it doesn't take too long to do it. Any opinions on this one? Have I been able to maintain the original lore in this new one as I wanted?

With this headcanon the Shroud curse has a new thing, aside from the fire hair, blue lips and the UM being the gates to the underworld, it now includes Cerberus DNA, since he is the guardian of the underworld and is quite literally the job of Idia's family.
Having Cerberus DNA will make some phisical changes, so Idia now would have dog ears and tail (dark blue), a black esclera and 2 dog heads made of fire floating on each side of his head. The dog heads are connected to his own conscience so everything he feels will be shown in them, and everything they saw Idia will too.
Just a silly thing i wanted to share, i might edit one of his oficial arts/sprites with this changes and post it here
