Spicy Homemade Pickles
Ingredients
1. Pickling cucumbers (I used 6 medium cucumbers)
2. 1/4 c Kosher salt
3. 2 tbs mustard seeds
4. 2 tbs black peppercorn
5. 1 tbs chili flakes (add as desired)
6. Fresh dill
7. 1 c distilled white vinegar
8. 2 c water
Step by step
1. Cut the cucumbers rinse and place in bowl
2. Add 1/4 c kosher salt and mix
3. Cover and set aside for 2 hours (1 hr in mix again)
4. After 2 hrs drain and rinse the cucumbers (rinse a few times; about 5-6 removing the excess salt)
5. In a small pot add the the conifer, water, mustard seeds, chili flakes, peppercorn, and fresh dill (I eyeball it; small handful) bring to a boil
6. Put cucumbers in jar and when mixture cools down stir up and put in jars as well
7. Place in refrigerator for 6-12 hours
