Darkitu's Journal

I decide to follow the orders and go to the courtyard. After parting ways, I soon find myself walking the halls.

What was I supposed to change...? I saved myself this time, but... what else is there?

I wonder this as I walk.

Eventually, I find myself at the courtyard. So many people are crammed in here, so it's definitely where we're meeting up.

But who are they...? Why are my memories so faded...?

As I look over, I notice a girl with blonde hair who's looking straight at me. Before long, she initiates a conversation.

"Iniko, did you find anything you were looking for in this timeline?" she asks me.

I'm taken aback by her words. She knows that I'm a time traveler?

"I don't... know..." it's all I can say in response.

"It's okay... it's... almost time for you to go... right?" when the words leave her mouth I have this sondor realization.

Everyone in this packed space has a vivid life of their own. Different backgrounds. Different upbringings.

But what is life even like when you're not tripping through time?

These thoughts are all twisting and turning through my head. The sound and vision around me begin to fade.

No one left.

There's no way those idiots can be okay on their own. I sigh and rush back upstairs.

When I reach the top of the staircase, I see the blue haired guy standing with his staff aimed towards Ralphie and Mushy.

"Causing a ruckus up here?" the guy asks.

"N-no, we're just being peaceful..." Mushy mutters in a worried tone of voice.

"Yeah... you're just some weird sorcerer guy that's trying to attack us..." Ralphie blurts out for no reason.

The sorcerer turns to him, shooting out small beams. Ralphie is diving all over the ground, trying to dodge because that's all he's good for doing.

"Oh no, I gotta do something!" Mushy shouts.

Mushy holds his hands out, shooting out a small goopy beam. The sorcerer dives out of its pathway, but that only leaves it heading straight towards me.

I decide to pick up the note to see what it says.

...

What the heck...?

The note says:

"THE END is near... Take me to HIM. You won't REGRET the decisions... I promise. KIDS... Come."

What kind of weirdo wrote something like this? Was it that guard?

I look up to notice that the guard isn't even in sight anymore. But what I do see are two familiar kids outside the door: Gair and Trekkon. I recall seeing them earlier.

"Iniko, get over here!" Gair demands.

Geeze, how demanding. But whatever, I head over since he must have something important to say if he's gonna be that demanding.

"What is it?" I ask.

"We're here to get you outta here!" Gair smiles.

"Oh, yeah? Pretty sure I just got out of here all by myself," I reply plainly.

"Well... anyway... we have other people we need to find still," Trekkon says.

I decide it's probably best to go meet up outside of this crazy fight. So I run out the door to see a huge building! It's like some kind of fancy mansion.

I walk a few steps until I hear a voice call out to me.

"Iniko, over here!" the one responsible is a kid with black hair and orange clothes. Oh right, this is Gair.

"Whoa, hey Gair! I was supposed to find you, wasn't I?" I say, walking over to him.

"Haw yeah! We're all gonna meet in the courtyard of this place so we can get out of here together," he replies with a smile on his face.

"Are you sure about that..? Why not just the front door?" I ask.

"Uh that's being protected by some guards, so we can't really go there..." he says, scratching his head, "and... Shaw ordered us to go to the courtyard..."

That last part made him sound really reluctant! He must really not wanna listen to these orders from Shaw.

"So this is really... an order that must be protected, huh?" I ask him.

I sneak down the staircase and stop when I see a blue-haired man facing his back to the staircase.

I'm not sure if he's an enemy or an ally, so I decide to wait until he makes a move.

"The children were being rather noisy... Guard, I'll need you to scout the outside. I will check on them up there," the blue-haired man is speaking to a guard.

If he goes up there, it'll most likely be the death of Ralphie and Mushy. But this could be my chance to escape...

NOTE: This is from Chapter 2. All entries from now until the end of the month will be finishing off that chapter since I ended up skipping that one.

"Let's go into the kitchen first," I recommend. Gair nods, as we rush into the kitchen. There are a bunch of people in chef outfits and everyone is making food.

It's hard to tell who is on our side since they all look so obedient in here.

I notice two lovers cowering in the corner as a guard yells at them. Maybe they're on our side? I look to Gair, but his attention isn't on them at all.

So I lift my dagger, but Trekkon shouts out to me "What are you doing!?" I stop suddenly as Katume glares at me.

"Don't listen to him," I hear Katume shout. The two of them are both shouting at me now and I can't figure out what to do. 

When I drop my dagger to my side, I smile. Maybe this was the right thing. For some reason, I can feel a faint feeling of serendipity among the chaos.

"I barely know you and you're begging me for help?" I spout out.

She looks very disappointed, but who am I to care? It's not like we're acquainted or anything. She's just some angel that appeared from the sky with a star.

"What can I do... to convince you to help me?" she begins to talk like she's writing a thesis.

"Nothing. No means no," I repeat myself.

"Oh... if that's how it is... I guess I'll have to find one of the other Nays. Could you at least lead me in that direction?" she just won't give up.

In a way, it feels cruel to decline her, but at this point, it's really too late to go back.

I stay in the cave and Katume barges in, grabbing hold of Trekkon. "Get away from him!" Kominushu shouts, pushing Katume off of Trekkon.

Katume glares over at us. Trekkon grabs onto his chains and wraps them around Katume. "Sneaking in here and attacking from behind, huh?" Trekkon asks, scowling at Katume.

"I will achieve nirvana," is Katume's last words as he disappears into thin air.

I decide to leave Trekkon and Kominushu to do their sibling thing and head off on my own. When I get outside, I come face-to-face with Katume. He has a golden aura for some reason and is smirking in my direction.

"So traitor... what're you doing over here?" he asks, his expression turning into a frown frowning.

I don't want to give him an answer, so I just shake my head.

I follow Kominushu to what seems to be the core of this World. So Trekkon's supposed to be in this place.

"Let's see... if my sources are right... he'll be in there!" she points to a small path under some rocks.

We walk for a while, following the path until we come across a boy with blue hair lying in a cave crevice.

"Trekkon!" she calls out, rushing towards him. He slowly opens his eyes as he sees Kominushu. He jumps back from surprise.

"Kominushu...!? Is that... is that really you?" he asks. She nods, hugging him.

"It's been so long! But I... I need your help..." she begins.

Me and Scott decide to just walk to the next place. Since we're walking, we have to squeeze through all of these stupid concert people and it feels like we're playing Tetris or something. Eventually, we get to some shop place.

I walk over to the girl with the star and start to question her "Umm why are you standing out here by yourself?" I ask.

"Oh! You're... one of The Nays, aren't you?" she asks, looking at my mark on my wrist.

"Yeah, um, you know about us?" I ask kind of confused.

"The truth is... I've been looking for you. Because I need your help," she begins, "I'm going through a crisis... and I'm trying to get rid of a demon named Death. And I know my brother is somewhere in here. He can help if we team up!"

I don't really know why she's telling me all of this, but I sit there and listen. I guess this is better than being with Scott and his friend.

I shake my head. "You need help fighting here, first," I say.

"No, no, really, this'll be over in a flash!" Kominushu waves her hands. She smiles as she holds out her hands, "but I suppose I could use some help if you insist. If you could hold him down for me, that'd be a huge help."

So I grab onto the man with the blue hoodie as Kominushu throws a large white beam that flashes towards him. Once it hits him, he screams and a black creature flies out of him. "You may have escaped this time, but I'll be back," it shouts as it fades away.

"Great, thanks for your help! Next up we gotta stop Katume," she says.

"Yeah, that's not gonna be so easy. We had a deal, didn't we?" he says, glaring in my direction.

I rush forward, grabbing the girl from the man's grasp. He shoots a bullet, which only slightly grazes my arm. "Hey!!" I can hear him screaming.

"Thank you so much... I can handle the rest from here," she says, standing up as she looks back at me.

"I saved you and now you're gonna go back in there?" I ask curiously.

"Hehe, yeah, this is what I came here for after all! My name is Kominushu Trenchu and I'm from Sil. What I need you to do is meet up with my brother Trekkon. He can help... and I know he's in here..." she explains.

I nod, taking it all in. She starts talking again.

I decide to take a seat on the ground to listen to the concert. By this point, I'm pretty sure Scott and his friend have left because there's no one by my side anymore.

I notice one of the people at the concert roll out what looks like a big screen tv-sized projector. They project some video clips on there. I guess they're getting a real concert feel.

I look over at my side again to see a girl with blue hair in the distance, holding a star.

"Yeah, I did remember all of that. Just making sure you're on your toes," I joke with Scott. He doesn't seem to think it's very funny though.

We begin to slow down as a groaning is heard from the front seat. "What's goin' on out here, some kinda concert!?" the man in the front screams.

Is this all part of that game they were talking about? If only I knew what was even happening around here.
