I think we all have a perception that Genos would be the uke in the pairing here. I mean it’s just my opinion, but, think about it for just a second and maybe I’ll convince you to come over to the sinful side with me:

・In terms of power:

Remember it was Genos that asked to be Saitama’s disciple. He saw how inhumanly strong Saitama was and instantly jumped to the thought of being Saitama’s underling.

But you may be thinking, “Well the senpai can sometimes be the uke in certain situations!” And honestly I can agree with that.

However think about how many sticky situations Genos has gotten himself into, not including the anime because it hasn’t got that far yet. Saitama has saved Genos many times. Isn’t that an example of a protective seme?

The mosquito woman was one of them. He saved Genos when he faced Carnage Kabuto. He also saved Genos from utterly disintegrating because the Sea King spat acid on him. Saved him from Speed of Sonic Sound.

Genos has been saved by Saitama so many times which of course indicates a significant power difference between the two, thus making Saitama more of a dominant character than a submissive one.

・ In terms of personality:

Again, there is an agreeable aspect where the uke is the one with a cool, calm demeanor while the seme is more hot headed and outspoken.

But, like I said before, there is a power thing going on here. Since SaiGenos is already canon (y'all should read the DJs they’re fucking amazing), you have to understand that Saitama’s lax appearance is what makes him dominate others. He is so strong he can destroy even an enemy of God-level disaster with a single punch. But since this power is so strong he feels no thrill in a fight. His enemies are too weak for him.

Think about what he could to Genos’s poor little mechanical body. You really think Genos can handle all that man? I think not. Also his personality does not have that domineering aspect. Genos likes to be led by someone. He wouldn’t have asked Saitama to be his master if it weren’t for that reason.

Sure it’s cute if Saitama were to be an uke because his typically expressionless demeanor is what we’d (as the fangirls/boys) love to see. But at the same time, Genos would always be on the bottom because at the end of the day he wants to be controlled.

・In terms of age:

Mm if you’ve really been keeping up with the manga (it’s licensed now so you probably wouldn’t be able to catch it), Genos is fairly young. I think he revealed his age in the anime. Genos is 19. Saitama has to be around 25 to 27 years old. I think you could get the idea from here.

Another agreeable yaoi fangirl aspect: uke can be older or much younger the seme.

I won’t lie that is true. However Genos is aware of the age difference between the two. He asked to be trained underneath Saitama. He knows his place. Case closed with that one.

・Other terms explained:

There are other reasons I feel that Genos is better suited to be an uke. He is absolutely willing to do anything for Saitama. So if Saitama were to say ‘jump’ Genos would definitely be one to say ‘How fucking high, when, and do you want me to come back afterward’. He allows Saitama to have that much control.

Genos is always aiming to please Saitama. So whatever Saitama wants done Genos will get it done to the best of his ability. Which is a submissive characteristic. Genos is very selfless when it comes to his master’s needs.
