guys don't worry spamton is fine
i keep seeing the misconception that spamton 'dies' after you defeat him, and because this is an idea that is too depressing for me to physically handle, i'm going to compile all the evidence i have to prove that he is indeed okay.
after defeating spamton neo, spamton will turn into the dealmaker/puppet scarf (depending on which way you won the fight). this is exactly what jevil did, and he's pretty clearly alive in there! jevil says "TAKE ME AND DO YOUR STRONGEST" after you defeat him, implying that this item is in fact him. if you equip the devilsknife to noelle, she'll even mention it 'smiling' at her!
and it's not like we haven't seen darkners living inside of objects before. aside from the fact that darkners are literally embodiments of objects in the light world, they can seemingly become/inhabit items in the dark world in some cases, too. like, spamton literally does this when he transfers himself into the emptydisk.
even more! there's some unused data for jevil as a resident of castle town, so we may be able to get these secret bosses to hang out in our town later on!
and if you STILL want more proof, look no further than the dialogue you get from beating spamton with a full inventory:
spamton turns into the dealmaker, and then proceeds to shout at you for having a full inventory. he slides away and appears in a treasure chest a bit further down. so he even seems to have some autonomy in this state!
tl;dr: death is probably the thing you should be the least worried about regarding spamton
