You may know, I've been apart from the canvas for almost one month. Nothing that could motivate me to paint was stronger than my fear of ruining what I had begun. I saw myself as a different person than the self who executed the adolescence series, and now I see that I certainly am another.

I painted this, after much deliberation, for my brother's Christmas gift. It looks nothing like me. And now, two formal 2x4's later, I have absolutely no idea where I stand.

With that said, Happy Holidays. I have no idea what December will bring for my art, but after November's draught, I think something mad.

There is a faction of humans containing something, and one could not tell you precisely wherein. I know nothing of its essence, which to me is only describable as a factory of torment that commands their fingers to the keys—to the brush, strives for fluent communication, and presses their minds to creation. Their minds, these factories of torment, are not fulfilled in the realization of small successes. The perspective of the mind is far confused as to manipulate things in the distance to be large, and once in the hands, so slight. We are not about small successes.

For these men, comfort and satisfaction will only suppress their ideas together in nightmares. And so they retreat from time to time for a moment, but do not be surprised to learn that they have not hibernated. Rather, prepare yourself for wild disbelief in all that they have accomplished, all too soon, my friends.
