please don’t say that this sucks. this genuinely put tears in my eyes. your work is absolutely incredible and you should be proud of this, regardless of whether or not you finish it.

The composition you have here is spectacular. Going from current day to past transitions so smoothly. The attention to detail you have to their movements is so good, they have so much life to their movements and expressions and you went above and beyond with that. Again these movements seriously say so much about their characters. Dimentio floats above her, physically and literally because he canonically floats, but it also represents how his presence mentally hovers over her mind. Dimentio haunts her in this story, he is always hovering over her in an emotional sense even when he is not there. And here, he never walks alongside her. He always is above her. Her chasing him is also incredible symbolism. Yes she is chasing him because he stole her diary, but in the story, she is also constantly chasing him because she misses their bond so much and she wants him back in her life, and this flashback being what it is is perfect, it represents their current dynamic so well. You are also great with illustrating certain scenes to certain lyrics. The scene where she’s chasing him down the hall with “are we allies or enemies?” is so perfect, because during that flashback the song lyric is playful. He stole her diary; their quarrel is playful. in turn, the lyric in that context is playful. But it’s in such contrast with their currently reality, because now, they actually ARE enemies. There is no more friendly bickering anymore, they are at war, and that lyric is no longer lighthearted in any sense. It’s heartbreaking and it’s beautiful.
