my eyes see everything and nothing at all

i am somewhere else entirely

watching my life from behind a glass wall

a split happened and i don’t know when

how lucky am i to get to know the real you

how lucky am i to tear out your walls brick by brick

how grateful i am for this lesson

i will not let my dreams haunt my waking hours

rusted bridges

train tracks and graffiti are calling me home

i miss the adventure.

i used to be sick when it had meaning

i used to be sick in precarious places

find art in my thoughts and give them to the creek in the underpass

now it’s just inconvenient

i’m trying to slow down

i would cut myself

and let you taste how i bleed
