VIVA LAGUNA!
You want an unforgettable experience? If you want to relax from your work or you love to embrace the gift of mother nature. When you just want to escape from the searing city and plunge into fresh water like what this Bato Spring could offer. This resort in the middle of a jungle is indeed one of a kind. It is just two hour ride from Metro Manila and just several minutes away from the main city of San Pablo in Laguna. It has river pools fed by cool mountain spring water. The pool surrounds the jungle itself. Bato Spring resort is a perfect venue to unwind with nature, a place that has been spared by modernization, a natural home ground for butterflies, dragonflies and birds. It is one of those places in the South of Manila where you can bring your friends over and relish the natural beauty of Laguna. It is on the border of Laguna and Quezon, on the foot of Mount Banahaw, about 2-hour drive from Manila and 15 minutes away from San Pablo City proper.
Speaking of locals, Bato Springs is so popular that once you reach the springs you'd be shocked to see that there are hundreds of them in the water. (Much like a scene in a water hole in Safari.)
Located on the outskirts of San Pablo City in the province of Laguna, Bato Springs is the perfect getaway near Manila on a hot summer day.
Its main feature is its clear and sparkling river directly coming from Mount Banahaw, plus the trees which will make it very difficult to tell which time of the day it already is. The resort features two man made falls which are channeled into a large swimming pool and streams around it. The main pool is about 4 feet deep and has a groto/cave hidden with a stream of falling water, water flows from this to a second pool which is about 2 feet deep. This pool has two water falls around it where you can sit and have your back massaged by the flowing water.
The foothills of Mt. Cristobal and Mt. Banahaw is designed with pools surrounded by the lush trees and the cool breeze of the mountain winds that gives an enjoyable and relaxing nature-feel. The resort offers pools that resemble nature’s springs that is suitable for both kids and adults alike. This is suitable for families who want an affordable resort but doesn’t want to sacrifice a good quality of bonding with nature.
What I like most about Bato Springs is its cold waters. (Not suitable for drinking though.) Aside from that, I also like the ambiance of the place. Despite the number of people and the springs being renovated for safety purposes. Bato Springs still never failed to bring out my love for nature. So let me invite you and your friends to enjoy the cold spring waters of Bato Springs.
Before sunset, they will fumigate the are to fend off mosquitoes and other insects that will feed on us while we’re sleeping. We stayed until around 5pm. So, after we left take a final swim until we get back in our home.
